Morning Prim Folk, well, the last weekend of May, wow!!! summer is fast approaching though you wouldn`t know it by the weather here, another cool weekend.  The sun is supposed to shine but the temps in the low teens, oh well, we are still off to the lake this afternoon, have to spend as much time there as we can, plus Saturday in  St. Pierre there is the town yard sale I want to go to, never know what you might find, the thrill of the hunt..........................Wednesday evening my girlfriend and her Grandson Dean popped in for a visit, he was all decked out in his sunglasses and ball cap, so cute.  She still is having a hard go of it since loosing her Hubby,  in a few weeks she is going back to work... but we did have a nice visit sitting outside watching Dean...............Took some pictures of what`s blooming  in the garden, not to many  flowers yet but love how the red Tulips and blue Forget-Me-Nots look, also the yellow Leopard`s Bane is in bloom, pretty...........Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, Blessings Francine.

Top Of The Morning Prim Folk,  a really nice sunny day outside so far, looks so beautiful, the little Wren is singing so loudly, I do enjoy that little bird so, hoping one will rent one of the birdhouses for the summer, :) I will be taking my coffee out and sit on the swing in the warm sunshine soon.........Last evening I looked out at the sunflower feeder and there were 3 Rose - Breasted Grosbeaks  eating, oh my, such  beautiful birds, ran and grabbed the camera but  the feeder is to far away and I didn`t want to spook them by getting closer so needless to say, I didn`t get great pictures....................I did receive a wonderful swap package from dear Kendra, so exciting, she had a cutter quilt swap that I participated in, so happy I did.........Kendra sent me the most sweetest quilt pillow with the words Friends stitched on it, also Country Barn cards from around Marquette County in Wisconsin, they are beautiful, cute little sock with a quilt heart sewn on and two quilt stars, love everything so much.....A big thank-you Kendra for hosting the swap and the treasures you sent....oh and also a the card with old wooden bowls in a rack, one of my favorite collectables............All and all  a great day, birds, presents, makes me happy.............Wishing all of you a happy day today, Blessings Francine.

Morning Prim Folk,  want to wish my blogging friends in the United States a Happy Memorial Day, may you enjoy a day filled with love and laughter............And remember the fallen and those that fight for Freedom.............My Father was a Veteran from WW2, he loved the U.S.A.  and he would take his family across the line into Grand Forks for little holidays, we loved going and  all of his kids still do today, every chance we get we run for the border.....He also would spend winter months in his beloved Arizona with my Mom, he loved that beautiful State so much, still miss you Daddy everday .......... Blessings Francine.

Greetings Prim Folk, hope the weekend is going well for you all, enjoying the great outdoors,  cool and cloudy here this morning but the sun is supposed to pop out this afternoon...........Quiet weekend for me, spent time outdoors yesterday planting up some containers with flowers I had bought last week..............Last year I planted in my old tool carrier Succulents but this time I planted Trailing Verbena and Wave Petunia`s, hope they will grow ok in there and trail down................also planted flowers in a old strainer and  a white  enamel bowl, turned them both into hanging planters, love using old enamel like that...................We also put the fish back into the pond, they seem very happy to be back in there, more room to swim around in, just hope the Raccoons don`t pay a visit and enjoy a free meal.................Wishing you all a great day,  Blessings Francine.

Morning Prim Folk,  well another weekend is here and for my American friends it`s their long weekend, Memorial Day, hope it will be a better one then our Canadian Victoria long weekend last weekend, rained the whole 3 days............May you all enjoy a beautiful weekend with loved ones full of fun................We headed to the lake Wednesday afternoon to stay the night and get some work done, love going during the week, no one is around but the birds singing, was so beautiful........We had bought Pyramid Cedars to plant for a wind break, so we got that done and I did plant some flowers in containers, so really enjoyed the little getaway , the weather was perfect, not to hot, just right.................I also did  a little redecorating in the trailer and out on the deck, feathering the nest comfy cozy...................We did remember to bring the camera so here are a few pictures we snapped.................Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, enjoy the great outdoors, Blessings Francine.

Good Morning Prim Folk,  hope you are all well, enjoying these May days of Spring...............This is our 4th day with rain, feeling a little soggy, but the sun is supposed to peek out this afternoon, yay!!!!!!  The flowers are not thirsty any more and the Perennials are really growing now after all the rain...... looks like I didn`t lose to many to Old Man Winter, I seem to lose a few during that time, but I shall buy more  Perennials, no worries there, :)................Snapped some pictures in  between the raindrops yesterday, the Lambs Ear, Lady`s Mantle, love how the raindrops sit on the leaves and the Checkered Lilly`s are in bloom, so pretty, the two bunches I have are really old, happy they keep coming back bigger and better, one of my favorites.....................Thoughts and prayers for those in Oklahoma, my heart is heavy for those in the path of the terrible Tornado`s,, God Bless Them All.................Wishing you a great day, Spring Blessings Francine.

I`M BACK

Morning Prim Folk,  well, we came back last night from the lake, to rainy and damp, today is even worse, so  I am happy we decided  to come home last night.....................Friday was ok, rained only a little in the afternoon, evening was enjoyable sitting by the crackling fire watching the birds, so many have returned,  sure kept us entertained.............The Hummingbirds, Wrens, Nuthatches, Chickadees, Grosbeaks, Woodpeckers and I was very excited  to see this new fine feathered friend come over for a visit and eat the sunflowers, a beautiful Scarlet Tanager, oh my, such a pretty color red, but of coarse when we left for the lake, forgot to grab the camera, so I snapped the picture with my I-Pad, not the greatest picture but you can still see how beautiful the bird is.........that make my weekend, simple joy of Nature...............All and all was nice to be away at the lake, but if you have to sit in the trailer during the rain and dampness, might as well come home,

that's what is really great about being only 40 minutes away from home, we can come and go to the lake when we want.............So today  I will get some things done inside the  cozy warm house, to cold and windy out there..............Thanks for all your comments and popping by, Wishing you all a wonderful Sunday,  Blessings Francine.

Morning Prim Folk,  yippee!!!...it`s the weekend and we will be going to the lake this afternoon  as soon as I am done work..... Here  in Canada it is the May long weekend, Monday is a Holiday, Victoria Day, but I work that day so we will be home Sunday evening........Sure hope the weather is nice,  all weekend they are calling for rain but the weather people have been wrong before, :)........... I will plant some flowers and seeds, anyway,  just enjoy being in the great outdoors, have my coffee by the fire watching the birds, reading a book and my A Primitive Place magazine,  will be so nice.....................Wednesday was a beautiful day and I went out and  planted the bulbs I had, came home yesterday after work to find the spots in the flower beds all dug up and the bulbs eaten, all that was left was the bulb skins, ohhhh!!!!!! so mad, darn Squirrels, now  I will have no pretty Freesia`s and other flowers, oh well.................Wishing you all a beautiful weekend, Blessings Francine.

Greetings Prim Folk,  hope this Wednesday finds you all well and enjoying a sunshine filled day........Looks like a nice warm sunny day here in Winnipeg,  the birds singing, beautiful Spring day to go out and enjoy some planting.........I will go out and plant some of the bulbs I received for my Birthday, such as  Anemone, Giant Dinnerplate Cactus Dahlia, called Mick`s Peppermint, looks really pretty, pink striped, I never grew  the Dinnerplate variety before so looking forward to it and Freesia`s, love the smell of that flower but don`t have luck growing them, but will try once again.............I did plant some of my other flowers in pots the other day, hope the cooler weather is done for now, it`s now the middle of May and this coming weekend is our long weekend here in Canada, so it has to be ok to plant, fingers crossed, :)...........Wishing you all a wonderful Spring day, Blessings Francine.

Morning Prim Folk,  hope you all had a wonderful weekend and Mother`s Day ..............Was a really beautiful day here weather wise, sunny and warm, perfect weather for being outside and enjoying a Mom`s Day   barbecue.............My Mom and Sister`s, my Niece and myself celebrating  Mother`s Day here at my place, just the girls, was a splendid time,  good food, hamburgers, coleslaw and potato salad, simple good food, oh and a Jennies cake my Sister bought over, yum yum.........I received a plant each from my dear Sis`s, so thoughtful, I also gave them one each, my Mother got loads of goodies and plants also for her little patio out back......all and all a real special day....................My Son gave me a beautiful Mother`s Day card, he always picks such thoughtful cards, touches my heart with a sweet old honey tin and gift card for Winners, yippee!!! Such  a wonderful Son.......He is also taking me out for a Birthday supper on Thursday to Montana`s,  I didn`t get to see him on my Birthday so he says he owes me a supper, who am I  to argue................Wishing you all a beautiful day, Blessings Francine.

Good Morning Prim Folk, wishing every Mother a beautiful Mother`s Day, may you have a special day filled will much love and laughter...................I am having my Mom and Sister`s over this afternoon for a barbecue, girl time, will be fun and the weather is going to be nice so we will be able to sit in the sunshine and visit.................My Mother is such a wonderful lady, so loving,  giving, caring, what a Mother should be,  I Love her dearly, she is always close at heart.............Enjoy the day, Blessings Francine.

Good Morning Prim Folk, well, the weekend is here, it`s a special weekend at that being Mother`s Day, hope it is a nice sunny warm Spring day Sunday...............I have to work this weekend so no lake for me, but the weather this weekend is cool so that's ok.............Nothing to much happening around here, yesterday planted  the rest of my Pansy`s, was a nice sunny day, so enjoyed planting once again listening to the bird song while gardening makes me very happy.........The White- Throated Sparrows are singing, one of my favorites, also the Purple Finches, such a pretty sound..................I did happen to win a contest lately, a cute little carved house Connie carved herself,  her blog is   Far Side of Fifty...... Connie  had a contest to see when the snow would melt, she had a snow stick stuck in a deep Minnesota snow bank in her  front yard, you had to guess a date when the stick was  visible, so I said April 29, my Birthday and sure enough the snow melted on that day and the snow stick was no more, Yay!!!!! .................Wishing you all a wonderful weekend filled with lots of Love and Laughter, Blessings Francine.

Morning Primfolk,  hope you are all fine this Wednesday, enjoying the marry month of May.............The weather has been so beautiful, perfect Spring days, warm, sunny, in the 70`s and I have been so happy I can get outdoors and do some container planting with Pansy`s and sweet little Viola`s...... I know there is some cooler weather still to come and these tough little guys are hardy, not to worried about losing them......for by Saturday the temperature is not so great but that's fine, I still feel good about getting my hands in the dirt and cleaning up my flower gardens and doing a little planting, makes me happy to be able to get outside once again..............Last evening I went to Costco with my girlfriend that lost her husband this winter and her little Grandson Dean, she is still missing him so, finds as more time goes by the sadder she feels, for he will never come home........ but  we had fun shopping with the little guy, he is such a good boy and funny, had us laughing all the time, he is at that really cute stage copying everything someone does or says.........and of coarse I spent money on grocery`s , oh ya, and ice cream, tis that time of year..... also bought my Mom a beautiful flower hanging basket for Mother`s day and more Pansy`s for myself, guess I will be out planting some more  today, but it is rather windy out there but shall see...................... SPRING HAS SPRUNG

Good Morning Primfolk, hope you all enjoyed a beautiful Springtime weekend full of sunshine,  finally the weather has warmed up here and was a wonderful warm sunny weekend and we enjoyed it at the lake.............. The nights were cool but the trusty heater kept us toasty but the days were so nice.....really got a lot of work done around the trailer, cleaned inside and out.........raked and raked leaves, wow!!! so many but looks nice now without all the leaves around......I did have time to relax by the crackling fire, boy, was so great to sit and  enjoy the fire once again and Mother Nature........All the birds were back at the feeder  after I filled them up, Nuthatch`s, Chickadee`s,  but when I went to grab the camera, they left, camera shy I guess... but  sure loved to hear all the different bird songs, such a wonderful chorus of sound................There was still ice on the lake though, but guess after this week the ice should break up, really nice temperatures  all this week, so glad Spring has finally came, loved being outdoors..................Wishing you all a great day, Blessings Francine.

 

HAPPY FRIDAY

Morning Primfolk,  hope you all are well and will be out and about  in the warm Spring days this weekend.....................Here the weather is supposed to be nice and sunny, the temperatures in the 50`s, yay!!!!!!! finally some Spring like weather comes our way,  my poor Tulips and Daffodils don`t know what to do, bloom or not....................This afternoon we are taking off to the lake to open up the trailer for the summer, yippee, yahoo!!!!  even though the nights dip down  still in the minuses we are going, have a nice little heater keeping us cozy warm and quilts of coarse..............Last year at this time we had been there many times but this year the weather was so bad..................So we are heading out and staying the weekend,  can`t wait to have a crackling fire and enjoy the fresh outdoors...................I love the trailer so, just being in the wide open spaces, the piece and quiet,  enjoying watching the birds,  my heart will be happy...........but opening  up the trailer the first day  is a busy one,  so much to do, still  I  will enjoy feathering my nest in my home away from home.......................Wishing you all a wonderful weekend,  till next time, Spring Blessings Francine. 

HAPPY MAY FIRST

Morning Primfolk,  hope all is well with you this first  day of May........The weather today is crappy here in Winnipeg, cool, wet and dreary, not very nice for the beginning of a wonderful warm month.......actually, woke to  a dusting of snow on the ground, Come on!!! Mother Nature, enough already.......I would love to spend the days outdoors,  cleaning the flower beds, planting some flower pots with Pansy`s and Viola`s, but, looks like I will be indoors dreaming about a warm Spring day playing outside...............Shall have a P.J. day I guess,  grab a book, magazines, cup of hot coffee  and snuggle in the house, sure seems like I have been doing this for way to  long now,   wish I  could get  out and be playing in the dirt instead............Hope by the weekend the temperatures will rise just like the mighty Red River now, she is really high, flooding in area`s outside the city, do not need anymore moisture that`s for sure....................Wishing you all a day filled with sunshine, Blessings Francine.
