Happy Friday Primfolk........another weekend is here, guess all the American folk are busy for their upcoming Thanksgiving next week, MMMMMMM..... turkey and all the fixins, anybody want another guest at their table, LOL!!!! I`ll gladly join in, won`t come empty handed............ Cold and windy here in Winterpeg, all the snow has certainly put me in the Holiday spirit..........find myself humming Christmas carols, puttering around with some Christmas decor, just starting, takes me days to put out snowmen, santas, little trees, finding that prim perfect spot...........The other day down the backlane a neighbor had trimmed their ceder tree and left a box of ceder clippings out by the garbage......oh!!!, thank you, just what I need, so went and scooped the box up and now have great smelling ceder greens to decorate with, find they last longer then spruce and you don`t get needles everywhere and the ceder smells good to.......... so I have done a little decorating, shall do some more this weekend............Enjoy a cozy weekend, Warm Blessings Francine.
Love the Santa mugs...they sure do take me back! You're forgiven..always!

Hi Francine! I adore the little white tree in the wooden bowl and the other little tree too. The greenery looks great - a perfect festive touch here and there!
ReplyDeleteWinterpeg...what a cute name! Does everyone call it that? John calls our town "Sparkle City" or "Glitter Town."
ReplyDeleteYou know, Francine, when you Canadians start decorating for Christmas, it makes us U.S. citizens jealous. So cute...and I'm remembering what you said about cedar for future reference.
You are ahead of the game with Christmas decorating and I love it! You were very lucky to snag those clippings...we actually have to PAY for bundles of it at the garden center.
ReplyDeleteSnow sounds good, puts me in the Christmas spirit all the time! Enjoy!
XO,
Jane

I am burning a pine scented candle this evening, smells like Christmas even thought the temp is 66. Lovely prim goodies, I agree those Santa mugs are special, I wonder where mime is from days gone by. Stay warm.

Yep cannot wait for some turkey and all the fixins at my sister's next week. Love your santas and christmas plates. They look wonderful together! Take care Francine, Janice
ReplyDeleteThe greens add the finished touch Francine. That was nice of your neighbor.

I think we used to have that same Santa mug set. Cute! I've been singing Christmas music for days now ;). Faalaalaa
ReplyDeleteWe celebrate both Thanksgivings since my husband is American and I'm Canadian :) Good excuse right? So you can come here! Except we usually do a Prime rib roast this time since we did turkey in October and then again at Christmas. But you are welcome at the farm! ;) Love the decorations. I'm getting excited now and feel like I really should be getting to work with the decorations so I can start enjoying them :)
ReplyDeleteHi Francine! You are off to a great start with your lovely decorations, and I know the cedar smell does help, doesn't it! I've been thinking that I need to get my snowmen out--But I will wait until after Thanksgiving, which by the way, if I was cooking, you could come, empty handed if you wanted too! :-)
ReplyDeleteTake care, and I hope you're enjoying your weekend!
Ah, Christmas. I haven't even had one spare moment to think about that yet. My Dad is settling into the Rest Home, but I'm stressed. Still wading through Medicaid paperwork.
ReplyDeleteHello Francine.
ReplyDeleteWhat Beautiful displays!
Your decorating is coming along.
I need to do some major cleaning before I can start decorating. Have a wonderful Sunday!!

Oh, How I love all your primitive pretties! I lived in the foothills of the Appalachian Mtns. in Tennessee for several years. Your old fashioned blog has such a beautiful and enchanting touch of whimsy and charm.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to have found you!
Blessings and happy Thanksgiving,
Carolynn
