LILY OF THE VALLEY

Good Morning Prim Folk,  a gentle rain is falling this morning but I am nice and dry enjoying my hot cup of coffee inside.....Yesterday I was out in the gardens and noticed the very fragrant Lily Of The Valley was in bloom, oh my the scent is so heavenly. Such sweet little white bells, they also bring back wonderful childhood memories.  When I was little we moved to a great old yellow farmhouse on many acres. What a wonderful place to play and grow up, wide open spaces. Along the North side of the house was a row of these beautiful smelling white bells, the smell was intoxicating to me. We had a tree swing also on that side of the house and I can still remember swinging and seeing the pretty flowers that smelt so so nice. Mama would pick a small bouquet  and bring them in the house to place on the kitchen  table.  Now as I look at my little vase of  Lily Of The Valley, my heart is happy.... AT THE LAKE

Morning Prim Folk,  Happy Friday to you sweet blogging friends. ....Well we took advantage of some really nice weather this week to go to the lake for a night. After that horrible long weekend I think we deserved it. Was so good to get there, bird singing, fresh air, love it.  So many different birds were there this time besides the regular Nut hatches, Chickadees and Woodpeckers.  Many little Warblers were flitting about the trees, Swallows looking in the birdhouses, Baltimore Oriole's and even a visit from the beautiful Eastern Bluebird, so pretty, sure hope he decides to move the Misses in one of the houses we put up.  I enjoyed sitting by the fire watching all the fine feathered friends, but when I went to grab the camera, they were gone.  We did find a nest of a Robin on the ledge inside the porch, bald little babies just hatched. The mom was still sitting on the nest and feeding while we sat on the porch, thank goodness.  Will keep you posted on the sweet little family.....Wishing you a wonderful weekend, Warm Blessings Francine.

HAPPY VICTORIA DAY!!!!!!

Good Morning Prim Folk, nothing good about it really weather wise.  We had rain all day yesterday with a North wind blowing that through the night turned to snow.  Thanks Mother Nature for the wonderful May Long Weekend, not very funny.  My poor Pansies I had planted a while ago were doing well, now they are shivering in the cold.  Hope you are having a better Monday sweet friends, Warm Blessings Francine.

BLOOMING

God Morning Prim Folk,   Happy Friday to you all!!! Long weekend here in Canada, Monday  is our holiday, Victoria Day.  The weather does not sound to promising, rainy and cool but hoping the sun will shine sometimes over the long weekend.  Cam has a family function out of town to attend on Saturday, so Angel and I  will  relax here at home.....   Puttered around outside the other day, felt good to be out cleaning in the flower beds, warm  sun shining, birds singing, very comforting to me.   Not to much blooming right now  but the Checkered Lily's are in bloom, one of my favorites. They are so pretty and really different looking, people ask me all the time what they are. Many plants are coming up, hoping I didn't loose to many this past  winter, but I'm sure when I visit the garden centers I will be buying many plants, I can't help myself, want one of each.... Morning Prim Folk,  Wishing all the wonderful Mother's out there a very Happy Mother's Day!!!!!!   May you enjoy this special day with loved ones.........    Love my Son with all my heart, I am proud to be his mama. He buys me the most touching cards, always brings a tear to my eyes cause the words are so beautiful..... And to my sweet sweet Mother who I love with all my heart. Morning Prim Folk,  hope you are all well this fine Monday...... The sun is shining,  birds singing, tis a beautiful day so far.  I finally unpacked my goodies from the trip to Simple Goods show.  I really had fun buying for in these parts not to many primitives to be found. Bought a lot of small treasures, easy to pack plus the larger were out of my price range, so many beautiful old bowls and trenchers I would have loved. So, these are most of my buys, sweet quilt, noodle board, always wanted one, dried gourds,  butter molds, whisk brooms, wooden ware, adorable hooked mat,  old pin cushions, flicker candle and oh yes, I did buys jar candles, 10 in fact, loves me candles. Morning Prim Folk, Happy May Day to you all!!!!  Can't believe May is here already, but glad it is.... Still unpacking from my trip, slow going, bought lots of goodies, will post next time I think.  These pictures are some of the gals I met from my blog and Face Book. They were all so friendly, really enjoyed our time together though it was fast. Wish I could have visited with them longer.... Then my batteries in the camera dyed so could not take pictures of some of the other gals I met at the Simple Goods show, takes me not to have spare ones.  Was a fantastic fun adventure, hope to do it again one day, thanks Brother and Sis-In-Law for letting me go with you.....
