LILY OF THE VALLY
Morning Prim Folk, here we are into June already, wow!!! The other evening I noticed the Lily Of The Valley starting to bloom along the side of the house, oh how I adore these little white bell flowers. They always bring back sweet memories of when I was a child and we lived in the country. My family moved to this wonderful old yellow farmhouse when I was about 6, oh I loved that house so. All the fields, creek running in the back of the house, huge gardens, life was grand.
All along the house in the back grew these beautiful heaven scent flowers, to me this is what Heaven must smell like, so intoxicating. These pretty sweet smelling white bells always bring comforting memories to me, plus they fill the house up of such a beautiful aroma..... Wishing you all a great day, Blessings Francine.

Mom had Lily of the Valley growing on the north side of the house when I was young. Such sweet smells and memories. I brought some to the farm to grow . Have a great week.

I have always loved Lilly of the Valley! I have a few of grandmas left but may have to dig a few from daughter Angela..enjoy your evening!!
ReplyDeleteMy lily of the valley spread so much that they have now started growing into my lawn..alas I have to thin them out..but they do smell wonderful. What fond memories you had growing up in your yellow farmhouse. I adore old farmhouses..they have so much character. Janice
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty flower!
ReplyDeleteMy grandmother loved these. She had a little pink vase with a ruffled edge that she displayed them in whenever she could find some
ReplyDeleteThey are such lovely flowers.
ReplyDeleteThey have the most amazing scent! We had many of them at our previous home and I don't know why I didn't bring a start of them to this place. I loved them.
ReplyDeleteI love them too Francine. A little patch grew by our house down the road and my sister would ask me to pick her a little bunch. The smell is amazing. I haven't been able to find any to plant at my house but always keep an eye out. ~*~Lisa
