CHICK-A-DEE DEE DEE!!!!

Afternoon Prim Folk,  my gosh we have been having some hot and humid weather as of Sunday,  in the high 90's with 99% humidity and no breeze,  yikes!!! even to hot out at the lake. Been very lazy out at the trailer in the heat, just reading, I did  pick up the hook for rug hooking but  working with wool, changed my mind.  Also  been watching the Hummer's zoom around and other fine feathered friends, this little Chick-a-dee  was watching me put out more sunflowers, cute little guy, sat so nice while I grabbed the camera...............  We came in this morning to the house to water the flowers and enjoy the central air at home for the night, :)    I am visiting my Mom this afternoon, have not seen her in awhile so want to spend some time with her. Angel is also looking forward to seeing her Granny, she loves going to Granny's house too................Happy Hump Day, hope you all stay and play safe this long weekend, can't believe Sep. is around the corner already, Blessings Francine.

Afternoon Prim Folk,  hope you are all well this fine Sunday...........I am happy to be home, made it safe and sound from our road trip, always fun to go on but nice to come home.  Very hot here back  in Winnipeg, yooza!! got in the house, turned on the air conditioner  and now catching up on your news, doing laundry and unpacking.......Bought some treasures, didn't buy many antiques, found them pricy, also bought  some prim goodies in a neat gift store.  All in all was a great trip, beautiful scenery, so many pretty lakes, saw deer, swans, bald eagles and left a deposit in a few casinos, oops, but also won, yey!!!  Bought some grocery's, fun looking in the grocery stores, many items we don't carry, so  had to purchase some of this and that.   Well, we are home for the night then back to spend more time at the lake, might as well enjoy, hot weather this week anyway, I do  want Fall to come badly, cooler weather come on..................Wishing you a great week ahead, Blessings Francine.

Greeting From Red Wing

Afternoon Prim Folk,  hope this Wednesday finds you all well.......Just a short and sweet post from me, dropping a line to say hello...........We are enjoying our road trip, stayed one night in Duluth, now we are  staying  two nights in Red Wing, Mn, really nice town, beautiful scenery. Sure has been hot and humid though, wow!!!! but it is August.  I have been out antiquing this morning, found some goodies, will show pictures of the trip and treasures when I get home. Enjoying the cooler nights sitting out with Angel listening to the crickets and gazing up at the amazing Full Moon, it is so bright............Wishing you all a wonderful day, Blessings Francine.

HAPPY SUNDAY

MOM, SIS AND ME

Afternoon Prim Folk,  hope this day finds you all well, I have missed keeping in touch with all of you, today I will catch up with you on your  blogs............We came in this morning, raining out today so we decided to come in early but that's ok, have laundry to do anyway.   The week at the lake was beautiful,  sunny and warm. Done a whole lot of relaxing, well, being lazy, read, walked Angel, so nice to do nothing.  Had visitors Thursday, my Mom and Sis came out for the day, had a wonderful time with them. Cam put a beef roast on the BBQ for supper, was yummy , we all enjoyed it and Sis bought  a  Caramel Apple Crumb pie for desert and that was so tasty, our belly's full, we all enjoyed a good day together.......Friday evening my girlfriend and her cute Grandson  Dean popped in,  he is a charmer already and wow does he love trucks, talking good too, knows two words together, big truck,  Granny is a great teacher.............We went to a few yard sales Saturday, found a couple of goodies, a great little lamp for the trailer, the base is pine trees and when you turn on the lamp the shade shows  moose and trees, love it,  I had a bigger lamp like it so two great lamps for the lake..................Tomorrow we are on a road trip,  crossing the border and heading to Red Wing Minnesota, where they make the beautiful old crocks and pottery, taking the back roads so will be a fun adventure......hope to visit antique stores, country stores, Thrift stores and yes, try my luck at a casino or two, who knows might be lucky, ha!!!!!       I will be bringing my I-PAD so hope to keep up with you sometime at a place that has WI-FI , till then, Blessings Francine.

Morning Prim Folk,  hope all is well in your neck of the woods...........I am really enjoying my holidays so far at the lake, the weather has been glorious,  warm days, cool nights..........Just relaxing, reading, started hooking a small mat,  watching the Humming Birds during the day, Bats come dusk, we watch them flying in the fields eating bugs I guess, neat to watch them fluttering about, we have been watching the bats come out every evening while we sit by the fire..............Angel has been on guard duty chasing the Chipmunks away from the bird feeders, but let me tell you, a Shit-Tzu is no hunter, Chipmunks run up the tree, Angel keeps on running straight ahead, to funny............. Popped in the house for the afternoon then back out to the lake till Sunday......Wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday, Blessings Francine.

Afternoon Prim Folk,  hope you are all enjoying the weekend......We just popped in home  from the lake, need to do some laundry, cut the grass, water the flowers, all that fun stuff,  :) then we are going back to the lake tomorrow morning for the week, yippee!!!!! so enjoying the holidays so far......The weather was so nice, woke to a really foggy morning Saturday,  could not even see the water..but that didn't stop Cam from going on the lake fishing, and he came home with a Walleye, yum yum, his first one in that lake, not counting the wee ones, a nice 16 inch fish, and I must say it was so so yummy, we had it for supper with new potato's, carrots, green and yellow beans from the little farmers market in town..........take care,  till next time..............Wishing you all a great week, Holiday Blessings Francine.

HAPPY FRIDAY

oh happy day!!!!!!!

Morning Prim Folk,  hope you are all fine and dandy...........I am really great, thanks for all your good wishes on having fun on my trip, warms the heart....We came back yesterday afternoon from our little over night getaway, had such a fantastic time with the Sister's and Mom, but we always do when we get together, so many laughs..........we shopped till we dropped, my Mom was a trooper, keeping up to us gals, she had so much fun shopping too...........I did great at the Antique store, did I find some treasures and hit a sale in every booth I bought at, now I am a happy girl.......Spent the most money there and that was our first stop, oh ya!!! bought a very primitive stool, old sugar mold, small blue enamel bowl, beautiful  big ole butter mold, little bread board, prim yummy smelling  jar  
 
 
 
 
 
candle, cone candle, doll quilt and cute pillow, loved that store, found the prices so good on antiques  plus in Winnipeg you really don't find  many primitives ...........Also bought at other stores but that was the most fun in the Antique mall, even my Mother found some treasures there. All in all was a great trip with my family, I enjoy their company so so much...........................Now today is my last day of work, I am on holidays as of Monday, took all my 4 weeks off, need a break......We are off to the lake this afternoon, spend our days there most of the time and take some road trips, yippee!!!! we will be back and forth to the house so I will keep in touch with you, see what you have been up to :).............. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, Summer Blessings Francine.

ROAD TRIP

Happy Hump Day Prim Folk,  hope you are all feeling fine..........I am very happy for this morning  my Mom, two Sisters and myself are on a little one night holiday.........we are making a run to the U. S. border into North Dakota, Grand Forks to do some shopping, yippee!!!!! We have been waiting for this day it  seems for so long, we have so much fun together, enjoy our girl time............Plus there is this wonderful Antique mall in Grand Forks, can't wait to take a look inside and see what treasures I might find............Till  next time, Blessings Francine.

Afternoon Prim Folk,  hope you are enjoying this Monday,  here in Canada it is a long weekend, a holiday Monday...oh ya!!!!  just because it is summer and we deserve a long weekend a month, :)           So I was out and about in the gardens,  seeing whats what....the Coneflowers are starting to bloom, well some are, others have been blooming........The White Swan Coneflower's are special to me, the plant was once in my Mother's garden when she still lived in her house, so when she moved in to her apartment, us gals split up her plants, Mom had the most beautiful flower gardens........I took her White Coneflowers for they are one of my favorite plants....the others I bought myself......the shorter orange one is my latest buy, they are coming along great..........Summer Blessings Francine.

 

 

 

YARD SALE FINDS

Happy Saturday Prim Folk,  hope the day is going well for you.............. I am having a pretty good day........After work this afternoon we popped into a yard sale on the way home,  and low and behold I did find some goodies, cheap.

 This small yellow ware bowl, love it,  grabbed it up for  fifty cents, the girl said it was her Grandma's, I asked her how she could sell it and she said I have no use for it, well, I sure do  as I hugged it to me.

   This nice old clear Ball jar with a zinc lid, thank you very much, a quarter if you please.  So far so good. 

 Also this little brass water tap for two bucks, I will find a use for it I'm sure. Last but not least this blueberry candle for  fifteen cents, come on, this was a good cheap yard sale with some real goodies I think, so glad we stopped.......And how was your day?   Summer Blessings Francine.

HAPPY AUGUST 1st

Afternoon Prim Folk,  hope the day is going well, can't believe August is here  already, this  summer is flying by..........Our weather here in Winnipeg has really been beautiful, in the low 20's during the day and low teens in the night, perfect if you ask me, no dreaded humidity lately, yay.... The sad thing is we decided to get central air installed weeks ago after we were having that hot and humid spell,  but since we did  we have not needed to put the air on,  the weather has been nice, go figure, but at least we have it now...................Cam bought me this wonderful pot of Sunflowers, a surprise when I came home from work,  I love them, Sunflowers make me happy, hope they do ok....I had planted some one year  in the flower garden,  something enjoyed eating them while the heads were maturing, they looked terrible, so I never planted any more after that....................I also had ordered this sweet Floppy Pumpkin gal from Kimberly at The Red Cupboard Post, I received her in the mail, now  ain't she the cutest,   she stole my heart,  Kimberly is a very talented crafter  and lives with many wonderful animals on a farm, I  do enjoy  reading her blog...............Wishing you a very happy day, Summer Blessings Francine.
