Afternoon, can`t believe in one week it will be Christmas Eve, wow, December is going by so fast..........Snow is gently falling now, still mild out to.............Thought I would post about the love I have for old postcards, I really find the pictures charming, enjoy reading the person`s writing on the back, some are over a hundred years old, I have one stamped from 1910, so interesting reading about way back when around the Holidays........... I have been collecting postcards for many years now, have many, enjoy to display them through the differant Holidays, Easter, Christmas, New Years, there is one for every occasion.......`... Wishing you a warm, cozy evening, Blessings Francine.
I love the vintage Christmas cards with the scenery on them of a Christmas farm and horse and sleigh . They just don't make like that any more ! It is damp here ,and no snow, they are saying it will be a green Christmas for us here in Ontario ! Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteHi Francine...what gorgeous cards.
ReplyDeleteOh I wish I knew back then what I know now about all these wonderful things.
Merry Christmas

ReplyDeleteA sweet collection you have! I love the old cards too.
Hi Francine, I too love old postcards. I don't have a collection, but once, while at a flea market, this old post card caught my eye. I picked the card up, turned it around and it was signed Lida, my late grandmother's name and in my grandmother's hand writing! Hope you are ready for the holidays, greetings, Julie.
ReplyDeleteThis is a nice group of cards. I adore the old imagery on these cards.
ReplyDeleteHi Francine,
ReplyDeleteGreat collection! I love the old cards as well, and collect Christmas postcards with robins on them. I'll have to do a post about them!
Have a good week,
Robyn
What sweet postcards.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
I refuse to believe that it is Christmas Eve in just 7 days. ARGH!!! So much left to do.
Hugs :)

Old postcards are so fun!!! like to read them. You have some nice ones too. Love your snow angel...too cute. Last Friday was a horrific day for everyone...I don't think one person could even fathom how such evil could be. It not only happened in our country but in China too. Evil went to an elementary school and slashed to death small children with a knife. It just makes me sad that this keeps on happening. Take care Francine, janice
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice collection! Thanks for sharing my friend! How about sending some of that snow south to Minnesota? All of mine melted. :(
ReplyDeleteBe blessed,
Cindi
Love your collection of the old post cards. Glad you have some snow falling. We still don't have any snow here.

My enjoyment of the "older things" seems to grow as I go in the same direction...:)
ReplyDeleteAnd peace and a joyous season to you and yours, Fracince.
You have a lovely collection, Francine. I love seeing old cards and the way people wrote years ago as well.
ReplyDeleteI love the old postcards as well..people just don't send mail the way they used to:)
ReplyDeleteSomething else we have in common--I love old postcards for the same reasons you do. I also collect new postcards from places I've been, and from friends who go to places I'd like to visit.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe Christmas is a week away...Ready or not, here it comes! :-)
