NEW YEARS EVE

Afternoon Primfolk, very frosty out today, cold for the closing of another year.......Just staying in tonight, enjoy a warm supper, movie, quite evening, fine with me............Do you have plans for ringing in the New Year???.........Looking back 2012 was a good year........I started blogging in March,  still cannot believe I have so many followers and meet so  many wonderful gals I call friends, so so grateful,   I have laughed, cried, prayed with many of you, been invited into your beautiful homes, meet loved ones, introduced to your beloved pets, I feel so blessed........... Blogging was the best thing I ever started.......had so much fun with swaps, even won some giveaways........many of you have helped me in decorating when asked, shared in my happiness, sorrow and it really warms my heart that you leave a comment on my posts...........I thank the new followers  and for the gals that were with me  from the beginning, a Big Thanks for making me feel so  welcome into this great blogging community............Wishing you and yours a Healthy and Happy New Year  From The Bottom Of My Prim Heart, Francine.

DISAPPOINTED ROADTRIP

Morning Primfolk,  hope this Sunday finds you all well and looking forward to a New Year...........Overcast here in Winnipeg this A.M.,  more snow on the way perhaps???..........Well,  my little roadtrip yesterday was a bust,  loved the trip out, pretty scenery,  saw two beautiful deer in the pines,  always enjoy a drive in the country, winter, summer, anytime........but when we came to Lockport, no Antique store to be found,  say what!!!!...........funny, asked around, no one knew of a Antique store, felt like I was in a Twilight Zone movie............One of my Sister`s was at one named The General Store  not long ago, said it was wonderful, full of goodies, she emailed me the time it was opened and closed and a Boxing day sale happening,  oh bother........... We drove around, no nothing........well, thats that.......came back to home turf, stopped for lunch then hit a Thrift store, guess that  will have to do today, found a few little things,  cute enamel white egg cup, small tin of cutters, flicker candle and a gravy boat with plate, love Johnson Brother dishes, such wonderful scenes they put on their dishes,  it has a chip but oh well, me loves it still, for a buck, I`ll give it a home.........so thats all folks, wishing you a good day, keep cozy, Blessings Francine.

Good Friday Morning,  chilly outside, a light dusting of snow on the ground, Bunny tracks all over the yard......To the East of us they are hit with a big snowstorm,  as well as some U.S. states, wow!!!!!.. hope everyone is tucked in safe and warm...............For some reason I do not get any emails, shucks!!! these computers are so maddening, it`s a love hate relationship....I have Cam`s Son working on it for me but come on, two days of no emails is driving me crazy...............Boxing day my Sister and I braved the crowds and went shopping, you know, Christmas money burning a hole in our pockets, gotta spend,  we popped into Old Navy to buy a few cozy sweaters, BOOYA!!!!!..we did good,  great sales to be had, bought 4 sweaters and a pair of yoga pants, Sister bought sweaters and a cute Jacket, oh ya.......then we went for supper to 5 Guys, love their burgers and fries,  we enjoyed the meal and each others company,  then popped into Shoppers Drug Mart to see what was on sale, well,  the perfume I asked Santa for and did not find under the tree was on sale for 50% off, so bought that for myself, YEY!!!!......then we headed homeward, a fun afternoon spent with my Sister..............Saturday I want to head out of town to a quaint little Antique store in Lockport,  hopefully find a new prim treasure, still have some Christmas money left...............Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, keep cozy warm, Blessings Francine.

ANGEL CHRISTMAS MORN, NOT TO THRILLED

Morning Primfolk, hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful Christmas day with loved oned gathered close............We enjoyed a beautiful day with family, ate way to much, yey!!!! stretchy pants, even wearing them today.........Recieved many great gifts, so many yummy smelling candles, I love candles, always have one or two burning, oh ya......a pretty Chritmas quilt, gift cards, warm fuzzy P.J`s, chocolates, I feel so  blessed..........Took some pictures Christmas Eve at my Brothers place with Santa, Christmas morning opening presants with my Mom and Sister, and at my other Sister`s with sweet little Oscar visiting from Toronto, all and all a great celebration with loved ones............ CHRISTMAS EVE

Good Morning........very frosty outside this A.M..............Well, the big day is near, hope you are all ready for Santa tonight,  me, a few little things and I`m ready........A trip to the grocery store,   dropping my Son`s presants off and have a little visit with him............I have been having my Mother and Sister stay over Chrtistmas Eve for a few years now so they are not alone Christmas morning,  we have such a great time.......Also my Brother and Sis-In -Law have a open house at there place every Christmas Eve and we all go to share a wonderful evening with family and she really puts out such a great spread of food, oh my, she is really a wonderful cook and baker, so many yummy treats,   those comfy pants will come in hand.  Even Santa pays a visit at there home, the little ones are so cute, so much fun seeing them, it is a warm, wonderful family filled evening...........Then Mom, Sis, Cam and I arrive back home and snuggle down for the night,  while visions of sugerplums dance in our heads.............Tomorrow we head out to my other Sisters for Christmas supper, oh ya,  more food and family time,  can`t wait,  we will enjoy our visit with our Niece and her Hubby who is visiting from Toronto with their little 10 month old, Oscar, love to see the wee one...............Wishing you all a Happy Christmas Eve and  to take time to enjoy the magic of the evening with loved ones,   Warm Christmas Blessings Francine.

Morning Primfolk, well, we are back in the deep freeze, very nippy, that mean ole windchill, going to be cold through Christmas, but we will keep  cozy warm inside............Can not belive 3 more sleeps till the big day, boy, December is really going by fast,  I`m trying my best to be ready but...........  all the presants are wrapped, house half clean, and today thought I would tackle some baking since it`s so so chilly out there,  good day to bake some gingerbread cookies...........I sure have been enjoying everyone`s blog, all the Christmas decorating, baking,  the home tours, so much fun,  love the Merriment chain Misi and Robyn invited girls to join, do not want it to end, was so enjoyable,  but all good things must come to an end I guess......... Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, take time to enjoy this wonderous time of the year, Warm Christmas Blessings Francine.

Good Morning,  a mild one here at that, still cloud cover over Winnipeg,  it looks like a whipped cream day outside with the fresh fallen snow...........I recived more goodies in the mailbox, yey!!!!!!! from dear Trace at Granny Trace Scrapes & Squares,  she has been having  fun Christmas trivia posts and I happened to get a anser right and win some of her Woolie love creations........Yipee!!!!! Trace does wonders with wool,  so here is my sweet woolie snowman and stocking I won, she also sent a beautiful Christmas card, so so thoughtful  love them so,  thanks Trace for the goodies and hosting some Christmas fun............ Morning Primfolk,  hope this Wednsday finds you all well,  busy baking,  shopping,  wrapping or just taking in all the sites and sounds of this wonderful Hoilday season.............We are expecting more of the white stuff today, everything outside is covered up with fluffy snow,  like a big fat marshmello, so pretty...........Yesterday when I came in from work, there sat a package on the table for me,  I squealled with delight,  my swap pakage from Allison from Sew Many Girls  came in the mail, YEY!!!!!!..It was like Christmas came early, wrapped in red and green tissue came the most wonderful prim teasures, snowman, sweet gingerbread man, stitched ginger picture, prim Santa, cloth coasters, cinammon candle, mmmmm, my fav, the cutest rusty spring Christmas tree and a cloth star, she was so very giving,  I love everything,  thank you Allison and also a big Thank you to Amy from Bumbble Bee Lane for hosting these fun swaps........So I will be finding just the right spot for my new gifts today, watching the snow fall, playing Christmas music,thankfull for the simple things...........Thoughts and prayers for the families still hurting in Newtown...............Snowy Blessings Francine.

OLD POSTCARDS

Afternoon,  can`t believe in one week it will be Christmas Eve, wow, December is going by so fast..........Snow is gently falling now,  still mild out to.............Thought I would post about the love I have for old postcards,  I really find the pictures charming,  enjoy reading the person`s writing on the back, some are over a hundred years old,  I have one stamped from 1910,  so interesting reading about way back when around the Holidays...........  I have been collecting postcards for many years now, have many,  enjoy to display them through the differant Holidays, Easter, Christmas, New Years, there is one for every occasion.......`... SNOW ANGEL

 Morning Primfolk,   enjoying a quite Sunday morning,  sipping a hot mug of coffee,  tree lights sparkling....outside the temps are so much milder,  looks like a Winter Wonderland with  frost clingging to the trees and bushes, so so pretty,  birdies are pecking at the feeders,  all is calm all is bright ,  in my little corner of the world.................Yesterday  I put the Christmas carols on, lite a yummy smelling candle, Apple Cider and  I spent the day wrapping gifts,  wrapping and wrapping,  gads,  seems like it was never ending,  I would Christmas shop then put the bags in the spare bedroom,  so did not know what I had,  but Saturday found out,  almost done though, a few little goodies to go................Evening will find me visiting my Son, sharing pizza, enjoying his company, will hug and kiss him,  so grateful I can do that...............Wishing you all comfort and Joy today, Blessings Francine.

We feel your pain, we are  neighbors and feel the pain  you are greiving  as a  Nation..........We are one.........How tragic this is, do not understand how this can be happening anywhere??????? Cannot imagine what these families are going through, saddens my heart.....This is supposed to be a Joyous time of year, celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus, being with our loved ones......now we are surrounded in blackness, greiving for small children that are sweet little angels now......How can this be???????.....Thoughts and prayers to all those families.........Blessings Francine.

snow today, big flakes falling, the shovel is getting a good workout, tee hee...........Any who, just a small post on what I got in the mail today.......so, so happy.......I had ordered myself a Christmas presant, I know, I know, better to give but.....I had to have these oh so sweet prim snowmen........I  placed an order  from Marie at Olde Lady Morgan.............Winnipeg does not carry  to much in the primitives,  so I saw  these prim snowmen on her blog and just had to have them,  so I placed my order with Marie,  she was even out of the stocking one but being the sweetheart she is,  she made me one up,  bless her prim heart.......so Merry Christmas to me.......LOVE them and found a place for them right away.........Thanks Marie for making my Christmas a little more Merrier...........Enjoy  the evening, Blessings Francine.

OH CHRISTMAS TREE

Morning Primfolk.......hope all is well for you this Wednsday...............we are having snow fall this A.M.........so pretty in the street lights as it gently floats down, could watch the snow all day...........Bad news is I have cought some kind of cold now,  chilled, scratchy throat,  I didn`t need this for Christmas thats for sure, oh well.........tis the season.............I did get my tree put up yesterday,  I like to find a not so perfect tree,  like it a wee bit wonky,  just like me, LOL!!!.......put on the Christmas carols and a decorating I go...........love to hang the vintage Shiny Brites,  family favorites,  homemades and little strands of bells my Sister bought me years ago..........I took some pictures but they are not great,  not to good with the camera........so what you see is what you get, tee hee...........Love to sit with only the tree lights on, a candle glowing and take it all in.........gotta love Christmas..........Blessings To All, Francine.

HOME SWEET HOME

Good Morning.......hope this Monday finds you well and enjoying this wonderful time of year.........Still very frigid here today...........You will find me this A.M. curled up in my favorite chair with my hot cup of coffee in my snowman mug,  orange spice tealight burning,MMMM, smells like Christmas,   reading the new January issue of Country Sampler,  oh ya...........just a quite time.............My Christmas work party went well,  had a good time, ate turkey and all the trimmings, my presant a was a tin of  Belgain chocolate cookies........hummmmm,  should I open now or keep them till Christmas?????.........Wishing you all to find a quite time to embrace this special time of year..........take it all in,  goes by way to fast.........Prim Blessings Francine.

Morning Primfolk,  very very cold here this A.M., we are dipping into the low low temps, feels like -31, Old man Winter has arrived and will stay awhile..............But had a beautiful snow fall yesterday,  big fat flakes floating down, I felt like I was in a snow globe, so so pretty................ Snuggled in the evening watching Home Alone, I do enjoy that movie,  watch it every year, still laugh at those crazy two bandits,  must be the kid in me.........popcorn and a mug of hot chocolate.........cozy warm.............This evening I have my work Christmas party, supper then gift giving, shall be fun........though I am such a home body, hard to get me out of the house.......but will go and enjoy the turkey supper with co-workers.............Wishing you a wonderful day filled with warmth and Christmas love..........Blessings Francine.

Frosty Day Decorating

Good Morning Primfolk,  well,  Friday is here once again,  busy time off year............I have not wrapped a presant yet,  baked any goodies,  oh my.....think I have lots of time left till the big day but before I know it, Christmas day will be here...........I do like to keep it slow not rushed and take in the sites and sounds of this wonderful Season...........I braved the cold yesterday and bundled up,  well,  was not that bad but the wind was biting once again.......wanted to decorate the front yard a little........so I hung garland with lights around the front door,  wreath and put out my fence snowbuddies my Sis-In -Law made some years back,  love them so..........then I put out the old white sled Cam found me in someones garbage one year,  I was so happy when he came home with this great old white sleigh,  wanted to hang the  childs old skates on the sleigh but was getting chilly and Jack Frost was nipping at my nose so decided to  just leave the red bell wreath and greens......... and hung a Merry Christmas sign on the front gate.........thats all folks!!!.....Came into the warm house and enjoyed a hot cup of coffee, ahhhhhh.......Enjoy the weekend my blogging buddies........take a moment to enjoy this beautiful time of year, Warm Blessings Francine.

 MMMMorning, ccccold here again this morning, have to get my fake fur lined panties out, tee hee,  the wildchill brings the temps down low.......but I`m warm and cozy in the house, enjoying a cup of hot coffee.........Still doing a little decorating here and there.............Last night decided to go out and do some Christmas shopping for my Son, he likes to cook, so thought I would buy him something useful....... he has a thing for Rachel Ray, come on, how can you not, I even have a crush on her, she has a dog rescue and donated a huge amount of money for the animals from that terrible storm Sandy, Yey!!!!...so anywho,  thought I will buy him something from her cooking line,  so off to Wal-Mart we go,  thought it will be a nuthouse but no, walked in,  hey,  this is great,  room to shop, not knocking into anyone,  found what I needed,  two differant size Rachel Ray frypans, woohoo!!!!......  Then it dawned on me,  everyone is shopping at our new Ikea, it just opened up last week, one of the largest Ikea stores here in little ole Winnipeg, said to Cam,  so thats where everyone is......better for me.......So was a happy shopping event..............This afternoon Angel and I are off to my Mom`s to do a lttle Christmas decorating for her..........Wishing you all a happy day, Prim Blessings Francine.

Afternoon Primfolk,    mild out today with rain mixed with ice pellets,  windy and grey,   would like more snow......like the winter wonderland look.........Well, my laptop is better today,  not to sure what happened but glad it`s back to normal.... for now, still learning on my I-Pad to,  so so much to learn, my head spins.........Yesterday decided to dry some orange slices, Michelle from Simple Pleasures posted on how to dry them, so thought I would try it,  love how they look and at the same time I wanted to try the pantry cakes Cathy from Acorn Hollow posted a recipe on them......so thats what I did, they both dry in the oven on low so thought good time to do both...........The house smelled so good with the cinnamon and clove mixture that you dust the cakes with........nice easy recipe, also made hearts and Santas with my molds..........turned out good...........Well,  enjoy the evening.........keep cozy.........Blessings Francine.

Oh Boy!!!!!!

Happy Sunday Primfolk..........hope you are having a good day........I'm not..GRRRRRRR,  my laptop is acting up so I am posting from the I-pad, tried to put the new pictures in but can't...I wanted  to post about our Christmas tree outing yesterday, well I did forget my camera in the excitment of going......found a nice tall tree pine,well, not to tall, Yey!!!! Cam cut her down, loaded it up.......but I did take a picture of the tree at home and wanted to show it....oh well...........was a good day, the roads were great, not icy..... Stopped in to check the trailer out, everything good there.......miss the trailer..........had lunch in town of St. Malo, coffee was so yummy and lunch.................We went in the evening  to visit my Sister and BIL......he is getting stronger slowly, was good to see him, stayed for awhile then back home again.......Enjoy the day, Warm Blessing Francine.    P.S. all I could find is a old picture of the girls......don't just love computers!!!!!!!
