FIRST SNOW

Morning Prim Folk,  is a chilly one here today, snowflakes a swirling, twirling outside as I type this. Woke to our fist dusting of snow here in Winnipeg, I have a feeling it is going to stay too. In came the month of November and along with it came the cold and snow.  But we are warm and cozy inside, sipping my hot cup of coffee.  So  now  with the snow falling out my window,
I feel like pulling out the Winter/ Christmas goodies today  and start decorating the home for the Merry month...... Cozy Blessings Francine.

BLOOMING CHRISTMAS

Good Morning Prim Folk,  Happy Saturday to all of you sweet blogging friends...... I am off to work but wanted to show you how pretty my Christmas cactus is when in bloom.  I know, I think a little early  too but so beautiful.  It was given to me by my Sister's boyfriend who didn't want it anymore for it never bloomed for him. I said I will take it, give the plant a good home and hopefully will get the cactus to bloom. Well, looks like I did good, but the secret I believe is the old Yellow Ware bowl I planted it in. He gave it to me in a plastic plant pot, yuk, I don't do plastic.  I  had this  nice cracked  old bowl I have been hanging on too, love Yellow Ware, I   thought it would make  a good plant pot someday and will  go great with  my decor.  So my friends, that's why it is blooming today, old,  worn and loved is good, wink wink....Warm Blessings Francine.

WHEN YOU GET APPLES

Morning Prim Folk, hope all is well in your neck of the woods..... Not a bad day here, sun is trying to pop out in between the clouds....  Last week my Son gave me a bag of apples from his tree in his backyard.  Nice apples this year, smaller then usual but he had a great crop.  So I brought them home, said to Cam, lets get baking some pies.    I am by no means a cook, so off Cam went to the store and bought me two boxes of Tenderflake pie crusts. That's what I like, no fuss no muss.  So I ended up with two  apple pies and then with the left over apples, made a cobbler. Thanks Son, was a yummy treat, me loves apple pie.
Wishing you a cozy Fall day, Warm Blessings Francine.

WELCOME NOVEMBER

Morning Prim Folk,  well, with Halloween over now,  time to say hello to the month of November.  I do like this month,  time to slow it down and start to make the home warm and cozy for the colder months ahead. Feathering  the nest I like to call it.   Out comes a worn quilt on my favorite chair  to cover my lap when the morning chill is in the air.  With the early darkness I have more candle glow in the house, always have one burning but now I find myself lighting a few more.  Also out come my dear friends, older books and magazines I enjoy to read over and over again.   Curling up with a good read, hot cup of cocoa or  coffee is a comfort  that I welcome in this comfy cozy month of November.   Warm Blessings Francine.
