TREE TIME
Good Morning Prim Folk, yay!!!! Friday is here and I am off this weekend, so time to go out and bring home a Christmas tree. We usually go and cut our own down but with the weather soooooo cold, I think we will venture to one of the many tree lots around the city. I have to have a real pine tree for Christmas, just one of those traditions I cannot break, since my childhood to now, need that real tree, would not be Christmas with a fake one. But I do have a wee skinny tree I put in up in the living room early, I do like this prim tree but will not take the place of the pine, the smell of pine in the house is what Christmas memories are made of........ Angel is all ready for Santa to, she has been a good girl all year long........................Wishing you all a warm wonderful weekend, say that tree times fast, :) Blessings Francine.

MERRY WEDNESDAY
Morning Prim Folk, still stuck in the deep freeze here but it's cold everywhere it seems, Ole Man Winter is back with a vengeance. Never the less,
I am venturing out into the mall this afternoon to do some Christmas shopping, should not be to bad during the week, I am hoping. Will try to enjoy, take in the sites and sounds of the Holidays, might even wave to Santa if I see him...... Speaking of Santa, I received this wonderful prim Santa on a old bobbin in the mail the other day, love him so. I ordered him from a fellow Canadian blogger at Heritage Homestead De'cor, her name is Darlene, talented gal and a sweetie. Nice that she is also in Canada, don't find all that much primitive goodness around these parts, so was excited to find her and a Merry Christmas to me!!!!................Keep Cozy, enjoy the day, Warm Blessings Francine.

CHRISTMAS IN THE TRENCHERS
Morning Prim Folk, really really frigid weather here, minus 40 with the windchill, oh ya, we are a hearty breed here in Manitoba, or dare I say stupid, :).........Came home from work yesterday afternoon and decided to do a little decorating with some natural ceder greens in the wood trenchers. In the very long trencher I put in a wooden white goose my Brother made me one Christmas, love it so, added greens and pine cones. The shorter trencher more ceder then put in wooden painted Santa faces along with grungy wax oranges, went for a simple look. A little more decorating for the holidays and the tree then I guess I will call it quits, I think................Also when I came in from work, Cam had two Tortaire meat pies cooking, oh ya, yummy, one for supper, one to bring to my Sister's for Christmas day. They are so tasty, made with pork/ beef mixture and mashed potato's, then baked in a pie crust. It is a old French Canadian recipe, Cam told me it was a Christmas Eve tradition with his family. After Midnight Mass, family and friends would meet at his parents farmhouse and that's what they would enjoy coming in from the cold, hot Tortaire meat pie, mmmmm, I really enjoy it to....................Wishing you all a great day, Stay Cozy, Blessings Francine.

CHRISTMAS DISHES
Morning Prim Folk, Happy Hump Day to you all!!!! Snowy, blowy here today and the cold is on it's way to, dipping way down with a biting wind chill, good time to snuggle in and stay toasty................ Yesterday I took out my Christmas dishes to use through the month of December. I like to use them everyday, I think they are so pretty and plus my Mom and Dad gave the set to me one Christmas in the 90'S. I fell in love with this pattern called Christmas Pleasure so they bought a set for me one Christmas and then every year after that I would receive a piece in that pattern like a tea pot, cream/sugar, salt/pepper shakers, so that I have all the settings for the table. They are so special to me, then I came across these beautiful plates called Merry Christmas by the Johnson Brothers at a church rummage sale, love their dishes. Then at a Antique store I came across these beauties, love the pictures on them both, one called Winter Holiday, another Johnson Bros, the other one Winter, Shakespeare's Sonnets, HOW LIKE A WINTER HATH MY ABSENCE BEEN FROM THEE. THE PLEASURE OF THE FLEETING YEAR, so beautiful. A little dish my sweet MIL gave me for I loved the old horse and sleigh winter scene on it, called Canadiana would you believe, a treasure now for she has passed. I adore picture plates and that's why you will find me looking through old dishes wherever we go, thrift stores, yard sales, hoping to find another treasure.............Wishing you a wonderful day, welcome to all the new followers, Warm Blessings Francine.

HAPPY DECEMBER
Morning Prim Folk, well, here we are in the Merry Month of December, wow!!!! can't believe it. I do love this month even though it can be very stressful and hectic but I try not to let it get me. I still get that excited feeling like a child around Christmas time. The light displays around the neighborhood, Christmas music everywhere, and people just seem more jolly, warms the heart. In the darkness of evening, I love to curl up cozy in the house with just the tree lights on, candle glow and watch a good old Christmas movie and enjoy the magic of the holidays.........Wishing you all find some magic of the Holidays in your heart, Santa knows if you've been naughty or nice, Blessings Francine.
