Morning Prim Folk, hope you are all doing well, it sure has been awhile. Enjoying my holidays so much, nice not to think about work. Between the lake and just getting home from a wonderful road trip, I have not been blogging. Our trip was to attend a wonderful primitive show in Holly, Michigan put on by such sweet people, Dawn and Dick who live in Holly. An 18 hour drive from Winnipeg but we took our time, three days to get there and enjoyed the beautiful scenery in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan. The lakes, forests are so breathtaking and even the Maple tree's are red in color now, great time of year to travel. I even crossed that famous Mackinaw bridge, kinda of scary but I pulled up my big girl panties for I knew what was coming on the other side, Primitives!!!!!! The Early Homestead Primitive show was great, bought many goodies and enjoyed seeing many blogging friends, Earlene, Janet, Lauren, Bobbie, Janice and of coarse the host Dawn. Enjoyed our time there and was definitely worth the trip. The only downfall is not to many pictures, dummy me, I did take with my I-Pad and for some reason I cannot put on my blog, darn blogger wont help me out even, sent feedback many times. So, once I unpack my treasures and do a little decorating, there will be pictures..........Have a wonderful day, Blessings Francine.

Hi Francine!!! Glad you made it home safe and sound and I'm so happy we all finally got to meet you!! That was a long trip for you but it seems like it was worth it!! I've never been to Christmas MI...in fact, I didn't know there was such a place!! ENjoy the rest of your holiday!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pleasant surprise to see you walk up to my booth! So happy you found the trip worth your while and I look forward to seeing what came home with you.

I didn't realize you came across that way. Christmas Mi. is close to my brothers, and been across Mac brifge many many times. Crossed on a motorcyle once and will NEVER do that again! It was such a nice surprise seeing you and Cam!!!!
ReplyDeleteI wish you could have stayed longer. (((((hugs))))
You were in my old stomping grounds, Francine. We lived and raised our children in the UP of Michigan. I've lost count of how many times I've driven across the Big Mac bridge. I'm glad you had a fun trip. Did you eat any pasties?
ReplyDeleteglad you've had some nice travels and good time away. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your sweet comments on my blog. Glad you made it home safe. As far as that Mighty Mac bridge of ours...I hate it! Will Never drive over at night and driving across on a tour bus is even scarier as you are up above the railing. You can walk it every Labor Day...not on my bucket list though. Love UP pasties!!! Janice
ReplyDeleteI saw a few pics of you at the show on blogs. Glad you had a safe trip and are enjoying your time off. But I wasn't happy to hear the leaves are turning!!!
ReplyDeleteSometimes taking pictures keeps you from enjoying the scenery. This sounds like a wonderful vacation. Good for you!

Good morning Francine
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful road trip!!!
We were at 2 of Dawn's shows and they are just wonderful. Unfortunately they fall on our family golf outing weekend so we have to pick and choose which year to miss the golf.
I know what you mean about blogger and an i-pad...have the same problem. I think Apple isn't too kind to Google!!!
Blessings
Karen
