Morning Prim Folk, Happy Friday to you sweet friends!!!!! With the weather nice and mild lately we decided to take a ride to the trailer at the lake to check things out. Was a nice scenic winter ride, not to much snow in the fields, roads were good and saw two beautiful Snowy Owls sitting on hydro poles. Felt good to be back in St. Malo. Could not drive on the road leading to the trailer but close enough to see all is o k, not a lot of snow, just enough to get stuck in. Then we carried on to the lake to see if anyone we know is on the lake ice fishing, lots of ice shacks on the lake, like a little village. Some are very cute, all have stoves to keep one toasty warm while fishing. No one was out fishing so snapped a few pictures them homeward bound.... Wishing you a wonderful weekend, so long January, Warm Blessings Francine.

Hi Francine! Shivering in my boots as I look at your photos of the snow and ice! They do make for beautiful scenes!
ReplyDeleteHave a happy weekend - indoors!
Just beautiful photos, Francine, it looks very cold indeed.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice ride on a nice cold winters day
ReplyDeleteand then home for something hot to eat and drink
Our ice is not thick enough to hold a bob house let along a truck.

ReplyDeleteLooks familiar! Sunny and warm here today, and it is melting:)
ReplyDeleteLOL...I always thought the ice shacks looked like little villages too... On Lake Wausau, there are so many that I think they almost need street signs. Sounds like a peaceful day, but I'm weary of white at this point. More on the way tomorrow...so, if you don't hear from me in several days, send snowplows. ;0) Smiles & Snowy Hugs ~ Robin
ReplyDeletethat's right, get out and don't let cabin fever set in! I'd love to go ice fishing, but I'd definitely need a hut.
