Morning Prim Folk, here we are into the month of November and it has been very dreary here so far. No sunshine for over a week, feeling very blue with these cloudy wet days. Also the darkness comes so early in the evening with the time change, feeling out of whack with the changing of the clocks too does not help. The only brightness to these gloomy days is that my pretty Christmas cactus is in bloom, a little early I thought for Christmas is still over a month away, but I will enjoy those beautiful bright pink blooms as long as can....... Wishing you a cozy day, Warm Blessings Francine.
It is the cloudy dark days that forced your plant into bloom. I hate the time change too...I miss summer already:)
ReplyDeleteThe blooming cactus is so pretty. I'm sure not looking forward to the gloomy winter days, either, but it'll be spring again before we know it as fast as time goes by these days. Take care!
ReplyDeleteNo sun for a few days here either but your cactus is doing well at brightening up the place!
ReplyDeleteOkay what's your secret? I have a Christmas cactus--it was blooming when I bought it and has not bloomed since--that was two years ago
ReplyDeleteIts hard to believe it's November already. I don't like the time change either it really messes me up!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cactus ~ I never have much luck with those.
Happy Fall Days to You ~ Hope the sun shows its self soon!
Blessings
Robin
my mother had several christmas cactuses (just doesn't sound right to say cacti in this case). thanks for the memory. :)
ReplyDeleteThe wheel is turning - it will be bright and sunny and Spring again soon!
ReplyDeleteFrancine, you have a green thumb...it has been sunny and in the sixties here in Maine, however, the flu and a cold are keeping me low...Sending you sunshine!!!
ReplyDeleteIt has been sunny and 60's here and we are taking full advantage of it! So sorry you have been gloomy but that cactus is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteCathy
We've had one or two gloomy days, but for the most part, this has been one of the nicest falls I can remember here in WI. I am sure cold, wintry weather will be knocking at our door soon. I love Christmas cactus and yours is lovely! Jane
ReplyDeleteIt's been dreary here too, Francine! Beautiful blooms on your Christmas cactus. Maybe it's to remind us Christmas will be here soon!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful cactus indeed! Janice
ReplyDeleteHappy November! Beautiful Christmas Cactus. I had a small one but I don't think she's gonna make. In fact I think she's been dead for a couple of months but I am in denial ;)
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's an American Thanksgiving cactus :)
ReplyDeleteHi Francine! Your cactus is really lovely and I miss having one because you're right, it's perfect color on a gloomy day! I hope your sun comes back soon, and I hope we BOTH get used to this time change! Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteMy Christmas cactus always blooms at Thanksgiving for some reason.
