Morning Prim Folk, here we are in the month of April and still chilly of late. Even had a bit of snow fall the other evening, oh ya. Today the sun is shining so hope the sun will warm the day up. Next week the temperatures are in the teens, sure hope so. Any who, took a trip to a nursery the other day, cannot wait to get out in the gardens and get my hands in the dirt. Was so nice to see beautiful flowers growing, I wanted on of each but held back, still way to early. I did buy myself some Viola's, I adore these sweet little flowers. Plus they can handle the coolness of Spring when planted. I do like to pop them in old containers around the yard, happy happy!!!! Also found these cool wave Pansy's that spread, never seen them before so bought two. Enjoyed myself so much strolling the rows and rows of pretty flowers, will be back soon.....Spring Blessings Francine.

Violas are one of my favs too. I enjoyed pressing the petals between the pages of books and then using them to decorate note cards or gift pkgs. Have a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteThey look lovely!
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to get to the greenhouses! I found a great one last year in a neighboring city and am going to make sure to get back there often.

The flowers are starting to bloom outside here - the tulips and jonquils.
ReplyDeleteI hope you can plant yours soon! And I love the bunny in the pocket photo!
Nice flowers! We received about 4 to 5 inches of wet snow Monday/Monday night. It's 30 degrees this morning, and the sun is shining!
ReplyDeletebright and shiny faces ready to greet the sun!
ReplyDeleteI jut may have to get a few cool weather flowers. Great idea to just stick them in a pot where you can see them until the weather warms.
ReplyDeleteI love too, such sweet little delicate flowers....I am itching too to buy flats of flowers but oh it's way too early here too.....

I love Violas too! They will do well in the cool...as long as it doesn't get too cold! Cool Wave petunia, I have not heard of it...off to Google:)
ReplyDeleteFound a Cool Wave Pansy! The are a trailing Pansy and you should love them! :)
ReplyDeleteI love growing the wave petunias. They always look so great.
ReplyDeleteI love violas and have not had a pot of them in a very long time -- I must get some to chase away the "blah's" we've been having too. There is nothing that can make you feel better than a bright pot of flowers, or walking through a greenhouse. I used to do that alot when we lived in Alaska.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are doing well, Francine!! Take care, and enjoy your weekend!
Pretty, pretty, pretty. My flower beds are still buried
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the flower eye candy Francine! I love the viola's too. Can't wait to plant!! Have a great weekend ~*~Lisa
