COFFEE

Morning Prim Folk,   Hi, my name is Francine and I am a coffeeholic, oh ya, loves me a hot cup of coffee morning, noon and night.    Always have, just my choice for something to drink, even in the sweltering heat of summer, you will find me enjoying a cup of yummy coffee.  My Father loved his coffee to, you would  see him with a cup in his hand all the time, my Mother  enjoys her coffee to but she also drinks tea, me not so much.    Like to drink my  coffee in  a mug, no little cup for me, nice big mug of goodness.  I  use a older plug in percolator   from the fifty's, find it makes the best coffee, just me.    I think that's why I am a morning person to, wake up  early for  that cup of coffee that's calling me, makes me  happy.    I  like  to collect the  old enamel coffee pots, love the looks of them anyway.  I keep my fine grind in a old Nabob jar that a friend gave to me when his Mother was cleaning out her Grandmother's house, he said I think I would like it for I like old junk, oh ya, you bet I do, thank you very much.  Speaking of coffee, gotta go get me another cup, thanks for popping in,  always a pleasure,   Warm Blessings Francine.

  6. Good Morning!! Oh I am a coffee~o~holic too!! I make a beeline for the coffee pot before anything else in the morning.. The stronger the better :-) It is usually brewing all day here.. I just love the old coffee pots, reminds me of camping when I was kid, my dad would make his coffee on the bbq when we were camping :-) Have a wonderful day! Hugs~Melissa

  8. Hi there Francine. I'm the same way - I'm usually up first, and head straight for my Keurig for my morning cup of flavored coffee. Then when husby is up, we have regular coffee from my Bunn coffee maker.

  10. It's funny that I was just thinking this morning of how much I appreciate coffee. A thought crossed my mind, if Eve had just had a cup of good coffee, she might never have ate that apple!!! (Just in fun, this morn.)

  12. Francine we are kindred spirits! Coffee lovers unite.lol I too like it in an old percolater too, but mostly use my Bunn. Use the K in the late evening for just 1 cup. Have a wonderful week

  13. I love it and run out for McD's or Dunkin because I have tried every pot, every water, every bean, and can't make a cup that I'm happy with. I have a stainless steel plug in perker - maybe I should pull that out. I saw a small 4 cup Farberware stainless perker that was so cute! The K machines are bigger than my kitchen counter.

The enamel pots are beautiful. I wonder how many kids today will decorate with the modern needfuls we use when they are our age :)
I 'm sure my Grandmother never would have guessed how much I LoVe her "olde pots & dishes. To her they were just needs.

  22. I love those old pots! And I do believe the old percolators made the best coffee. I make a pot in the morning and sip it until it's gone. And I like a cup of tea to relax in the evening. My parents had the coffee pot on all day!

    XO,
    Jane

  26. You definitely are a morning person. Me, not much though I do have the alarm set for 5:30 am on workdays. I am just the opposite ~ I don't drink coffee but I drink my diet Coke morning, noon and night and even when it is freezing out ~ like now.
    Stay warm :)

  28. My husband is the coffee drinker at my house. I have an occasional cup, but I prefer a cup of tea or hot chocolate if I get up early. Otherwise, it's a glass of Pepsi for me! :)

  34. Hi, Francine,
I love my coffee too but I always buy whatever is on sale...the cheap stuff. In the summer when the pot is still full I make it into iced in the blender!
