BDAY PARTY PICS

Good Monday Morning, well Primfolk, It`s my party and I`ll cry if I want to, no, to me just another year older and a higher number, still a kid at heart, but really would be nice to feel like a kid, so many aches and pains...just getting up from sitting is a chore but at least I can still get up, :)......... The weather has been really nice over the weekend and looks like it will be a nice day today  for my Birthday, but calling for rain tonight......but a rain will freshen up everything  in the yard..................Taking it easy today, Cam is making me bacon and eggs for breakfast, yay!!!!, then going to shop with my gift cards I received from my Mom and Sister for Old Navy, love that store......then  for supper he is taking me out  to Applebees,  my favorite place to eat, always enjoy my meal there, so that will about do my special day...............Here are some pictures of our Birthday party Saturday evening at my Sister`s who we were also celebrating her Bday......I received so many wonderful gifts... a old candle mold, sweet little child`s doll quilt, melts, a flicker candle with holder that fits in a blue ball jar, really neat, gift cards, bodyshop lotion, flower bulbs to plant, seeds, well, I could go on but will show some pictures instead..........Thanks for the Birthday Wishes some of you sent already, you are so sweet and the best blogging buddies a girl could have, means the world to me............Enjoy the day, Blessings Francine.

SPRING HAS ARRIVED

Morning Primfolk,  hope you are all enjoying a beautiful weekend so far............Finally we enjoyed a warm Spring day here in Winnipeg yesterday,  only traces of snow here and there in the shadows............My Tulips and Daffodils  are starting to bloom and other greenery are peeking out of the flowerbeds, yay!!!!! so  happy... it has been along time coming........Was so nice  after work to take a cup of coffee and go  sit outside in the warm sunshine, felt good soaking up the  vitamine D..................... Had a wonderful family Birthday celebration at my Sister`s yesterday evening, received many beautiful gifts, but spending time with family is a gift itself, love them all dearly, they are so good to me.....will be back tomorrow with pictures of the party....I have to go get ready for work now..........Wishing you all a happy Sunday, Blessings Francine.

Morning Primfolk,  here we are in the last weekend of April, wow!!! the month`s are going so  fast  but what a cold April it has been, happy to say good-by and hoping May brings in some nice warm Spring days........Today the temperature is going to be in the 50`s, yahoo!!! tomorrow, 60`s, it is about time....the last of the snow should melt, but there is still a big snow  bank in the pond in the backyard, that spot does not see to much sunshine so takes a longer time to melt.....................I did pay as visit to one greenhouse, oh my, I wanted one of everything.......was so nice to see rows and rows of flowers, had to stop myself from buying way to many for now, still really cool at night, that darn temp dips still way to low, so I will be bringing the bunch in at night for now...........Yesterday was bath day for Angel, oh boy!!!! she really does not enjoy a good wash, as soon as I take her collar of she gets the saddest look on her face, but she sure smells so much better after a bath, nice and fluffy fur, rather pretty, but wet, kinda funny, love that little dog so......................Saturday evening my family will be celebrating my older Sister`s and my Birthday at the same time since they are so close together, hers   was the 25, mine is Monday the 29, so we decided to get  together the one night, can`t wait  to be with my wonderful family once again, we have a lot of fun, and can`t forget the cake, yum yum..................Wishing you all a wonderful weekend full of warm sunshine, Spring Blessings Francine.

Happy Wednesday Primfolk,  I am enjoying  the quiet morning, sipping my coffee watching the birds at the feeder,  one of my favorite things to do, well, wishing I could be sitting outside on my swing sipping coffee watching the birds but, still a little to cool outside.........maybe by the weekend, temps are supposed to be in the 60`s, sure hope so........Nice to see the Dark-Eyed Junco`s back, love those little chippets so, always flittering around under the feeder, scratching for seeds that dropped, busy busy birdies..............It is my day off but I  don`t have to much planned for the day, maybe take a ride to one of the green houses and take a gander at the Pansy`s,  pick some up, always love their little faces and they do not mind the cold and at least I can get my hands in the dirt and plant them in pots for outside................Had this wee bunny visiting last evening, one has been around all Winter eating the birdseed I put out for it, finally took a few pictures of this bunny through the window, I enjoy the bits of wildlife in the yard, makes me happy......................Wishing you all a wonderful Spring day, Enjoy, Blessings Francine.

THRIFT FINDS

Good Morning Primfolk,  hope you all had a great weekend,  I  can`t believe we are coming to the end of April already, geeze, time does fly..............Still cool here, dips down into the minuses at night, brrrr,  have to keep the flannel sheets on the bed a little longer, Spring is really taking her sweet time getting here......................Had a great day Saturday going to check out the trailer at the lake, all is good,  was nice to be back there,  the  power is back on so hoping soon we can go and spend a weekend there, if it ever warms up, so looking forward to spending time at the lake...............On the way we stopped in Niverville, a small town that has a Thrift store and I found some goodies,  happy to find jars of candles, always have on burning, one in Sugar Cookie, Apple Cinnamon and Warm Vanilla, tea towels to use at the lake, love the corn picture on the pads and fell for this Welcome plaque with a light, all for the price of $12.00, I think I did good.......was a happy day.......Wishing you all a great day today,  Spring Blessings Francine.

Morning Primfolk,  I think Spring is slowly arriving here in the Peg, really!!..... Cam saw a Robin, my Crocus are blooming, the snow is very slowly melting, yes, I think Spring is near..........The temps in the coming week are going to be  in the 30`s, yippee yahoo!!!!! finally  I can get outdoors and enjoy some sunshine and tidy up the yard, I have  been looking forward to being back outside, sure has been a long Winter, glad to say bye - bye..........................I also am excited today for we are taking a trip to the lake to check out the trailer, see how it faired through the long cold Winter, fine I hope.........plus there are some Thrift stores along the way to pop into, so shall be a fun day for me.........Wishing you all a great weekend,  Spring Blessings Francine. 

I`M. BACK

Good Morning Primfolk,  missed you, hope you are all ok......thoughts and prayers for all in Boston,  so heartbreaking, now in Texas, just heard on the radio as I write this post, horrible, what the heck is going on??????  GOD BLESS THE U.S.A......................Came home last evening, had a good time with my Mom and Sister, many laughs, went by so fast but we sure enjoyed our little trip spent together..............Went  shopping with my Sister, my Mom stayed at the casino for it is hard for her to get up  onto the shuttle bus that takes you to the store, so Sis and I ventured out,  found some  good things, always get to buy different items in the States that we can`t find in Canada....was a really great little getaway, no richer, just  in memories with loved ones ..........Still lots of snow in the yard, has not been any warmer, still waiting on Spring, but I did notice one little Crocus blooming in my front flower bed,  so pretty, there is hope yet............Wishing you all a great day, Blessings Francine. 

MONDAY, MONDAY

Morning Primfolk,  hope you all enjoyed a good and relaxed  weekend, they seem to fly by, it`s Friday and before you know it Monday   is here  once again ............Woke up  this morning to a wet snow falling down, North wind blowing too, not to nice for us to travel in, hope the roads will be fine heading into Minnesota.........We leave just after ten, will pick my Mom up and meet our Sister at the restaurant were the bus will pick us up...........I am bringing along my I-Pad to keep in touch,  Cam and Angel will keep the home fires burning until Wednesday when I get back  to Home Sweet Home with all my winnings, Ha!!!!..............Wishing you all a great day, till next time, Blessings Francine.

Greeting, hope  you are all having a  great weekend..........I received yesterday a package in the mail from my swap partner Lori from Apple Grove Treasures,  oh my, like Christmas.......Everything  thing wrapped so nice in pretty Spring color tissue paper and the cutest Peter Rabbit card, Love that rabbit......then slowly unwrapped each goodie,  such wonderful treasures Lori sent, sweet little bee skep, stitched Spring pillow, pretty Easter eggs, flowers in a cute little pitcher  love  all of the gifts, Thank You Lori,  and thanks to Amy from  Bumble Bee Lane for hosting yet another great swap, so much fun..................Had a wonderful time at my Brother`s last night, Sis-In -Law received  many goodies,  enjoyed another piece of Jeanie`s bakery cake, the best cake ever................Also excited for Monday one of my Sister`s, Mother and myself, middle Sister could not make this trip, we will miss her,  are off on a little Trip to Shooting Star Casino in Minnesota  to try our luck, HA!!!  but we do have fun together making memories, wish me luck..............Till next time, enjoy the day, Spring Blessings Francine.

Good Morning Primfolk,  crazy weather out there some of you are experiencing, come on!!! this supposed to be a joyful time of the year, refreshing Springtime................Yesterday was not bad here, sunny, snow slowly melting,  but the snow banks in the yard are still huge....I think we will miss Spring and head right into summer, hope not,  but guess the slow melt is good for the flooding we are in for...................Not much going on this weekend,  tonight heading over to my Brother`s to celebrate our Sis- In -Law`s Birthday, yay!!!!!! always enjoy a family celebration and cake...April holds a lot of Bdays,  mine included..................Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, get outside and enjoy the nice weather if it`s warm in your neck of the woods.......Spring Blessings Francine.

THRIFTY FINDS

HAPPY MONDAY

Morning Primfolk, hope you all had a good weekend, enjoying some Spring weather maybe........Not me, so cold this morning once again, all week in the minuses,  Spring is really taking her time getting here......Some of you gals are so lucky to be outdoors soaking up some sunshine in the gardens already, I am so jealous, I can`t wait to get my hands in the dirt but looks like it will be a while yet.................Had a great weekend, family, food and fun, happy happy...........Spent yesterday puttering around the house tweaking here and there, since I am stuck indoors still, I find myself needing some Spring time decorating...........Put a little birds nest in a old enamel cup, cloth bird and prim candle on my riser for a much needed change on the small table in the living room, maybe

Happy Saturday Primfolk,  hope you are having a good weekend so far.........I woke up to fresh fallen snow, boy oh boy!!!!! just what I wanted, NOT!!!!!...but by this afternoon it has melted already and it is dark, dreary and drizzling something in between snow and rain............I had fun last night antiquing with my Sis, over 250 venders were there, oh my, tables and tables of old stuff, we didn`t know where to start..........I was a little disappointed in not many primitive antiques, not a big thing here in Winnipeg, but of coarse I did spend some money..........Bought  cute little blue baby shoes from the Fifty`s, a  square red wooden rice measure, I think,:) the guy told me it is over a hundred years old, love the red on it anyway, found three big and three small  plates in the Petal ware dishes I use everyday, they are getting harder to find, so scooped  them up, and a heart mold I can use to make blacked wax hearts, that's it.......had fun looking, meet my Brother and SIL there too...........Tonight my family are taking my Brother out to Applebee`s to celebrate his early retirement then back to my Sister`s for Winnipeg's famous Jeanie`s cake, yum yum, the best cake ever....we think anyway...........Oh and yesterday I found in the mail box my win from Margi at Hungry Hook Primitives, a beautiful wool piece I can use for hooking, love the colors, Thanks Margi.............Wishing you all a wonderful weekend,  Blessings Francine.

Good Morning Primfolk,  another weekend is here, wow, those days fly by, but guess it`s a good thing........The weather in Winnipeg is still cold, no sign of Spring anywhere and they are calling for snow tonight and tomorrow, come on Mother Nature, enough already.........but Spring  it has to arrive sometime, just wish soon, sure would like to get my hands in the dirt and  do a little cleaning in the flower beds, ....... for I  fear it will be a short summer season..................I am excited though today for I am going to the big Antique show at the Downs this evening, saved my penny`s and will search for that primitive treasure  I need....well, I really don`t but want.......We are picking up my Sister on the way, are birthdays are this month so we will also be on the lookout for a present for each other.............Wishing you all a fun filled weekend, hope the weather is nice for you to be out and about, Spring Blessings Francine.

Morning Primfolk, middle of the week already, seems these days go by so fast... and still no sign of Spring weather here, windy and cold once again today... have to wear the heavy jacket still today, that wind goes right threw you, brrrr........I am going out with my Mom and Sister for lunch today  at Smitty`s  restaurant, yummy, love their wings, then we will carry on and take Mom grocery shopping at Superstore, always have fun with family no matter what we do, even if it`s grocery shopping, :)......................Also wanted to show you the beautiful gift I received in the mail yesterday, was excited to find this in my mailbox after work......the Pay It Forward gift is from Teresa at Dulaney Woods Treasures, what a wonderful Noble Woman`s Pouch she made me, I love the colors she chose, blue is my favorite...and the stitchery on it is exquisite, she even stitched my initial`s on the pouch, this lady is so talented........Thank you Teresa, I adore the prim pouch, will hang it proudly in my home................Wishing you all a very good day, hope it is warmer in your neck of the woods, Spring Blessings Francine.

Good Morning Primfolk,  wishing you all a happy first day of April,  the sun is shining here but it is very cold out still but... the birds are singing,  that makes me happy..............Hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Easter day shared with loved ones...........I had a fantastic day with my family, the food was so yummy, my Sister out did herself, the ham, roast potato`s and carrots were delish, my other Sister brought her famous cabbage/apple coleslaw, so good,  and they said my lemon pie was good, hope so, family will not say it was not :)........ the Easter bunny was good to me too, or was he....received loads of chocolate, thank goodness for my comfy pants.......Even my Sister`s kitty enjoyed the day, lots of tummy rubs Trinny  received from all of us, she was in her glory as we were all on that special day...................Enjoy the day, Spring Blessings Francine.
