PICTURES AT CHRISTMAS

Morning Prim Folk, here we are in the middle of Christmas past and up coming of a New Year.  I always feel blue after Christmas for in a blink of an eye it's gone. I wait like an excited child for family to arrive, my mama, middle sis and this year her boyfriend came to stay with us Christmas Eve. It's magical, I love having them stay over. Then we are off to my Brother and Sweet SIL's to have the most fun time on Christmas Eve. Tons of great food she puts out, all their family come and even Santa pays a visit, I love this.  Christmas morning I get to enjoy having coffee with mama and sis, all is good. Open presents, breakfast, then off to our Oldest Sister's for a Christmas supper feast of turkey and all the trimmings, yum!!!! Then before I know it we are back home and it's all a memory, a great memory but leaves me missing all my family. So, New Years will be coming and quiet, no plans, will likely will  be in bed before midnight, yawn.......Warm Blessings Francine.

CHRISTMAS IN THE KITCHEN

Morning Prim Folk,  I've been in the Christmas spirit lately, well, there is only 2 more days till Santa comes. Dean Martin crooning Marshmallow World , Sugar Cookie candle burning, all is Merry and Bright. So away I went to decorating in the kitchen with some Christmas treasures. I love the look of sparkling lights here and there, with the darkness coming so early I enjoy the soft glowing lights here and there more then ever. Plus at Christmastime I have an excuse( giggles ) so I can use as many as I want.  Warm Christmas Blessings Francine.

---CHRISTMAS PAST

Good Morning Prim Folk, wow!!!! the Holidays are sure coming fast, one week away till the big day..                                                                               I love looking at the old pictures of Christmas and family, warms my heart. I came across this gem of my middle sister and myself sitting by the tree with me holding the doll Tressy.   Oh how I loved Christmas as a child and still do, it's all in the magic of Christmas. WEE TREE

Morning Prim Folk, Happy Thursday to you  all!!!!!!!!                                         I decided that this year I'm putting up my wee skinny  prim tree in the porch for Christmas. No real tree for me this year, I will miss the pine smell and everything about a real tree. Not to sure why but  I just decided that I love this wee tree and it will do. Dried orange and apple slices with little  red bells, grungy  pipe cleaner candy canes with the fairy lights is all I need on this tree this  year......Blessings Francine

GOT SNOW?

Morning Prim Folk, hope this Tuesday finds you all well.                                  Last week we really got a great dumping of the white stuff, yes, that four letter word some of us dislike. Me, I love the snow, not so much at once but really find something beautiful in a softly falling  snowfall. Three days it snowed, now this week the cold has settled in, so yes, this will be one heck of a White Christmas.                                                                                Cozy Blessings Francine.

BITS OF CHRISTMAS IN THE PORCH

Morning Prim Folk,  snowy  blowy  and chilly here, our first blizzard like winter weather hitting us in The Peg.  But we are warm and cozy inside the house.   I started decorating for Christmas a week ago, love to pull out the treasures that have been tucked away for the year. So with Christmas tunes playing, yummy smelling candle aglow, I went to decorating. The back porch is where we watch T.V and much of our time relaxing, rather cozy indeed...........          Wishing you a wonderful day, Warm Blessings Francine.

OUTSIDE DECORATING

Morning Prim Folk, hope you are doing well in your neck of the woods.             So glad I decided to decorate the outside of the house while the weather was nice, hard to do when the fingers are freezing in the colder temps.           Hung the garland with little lights around the front window and door, love the look.  Then added the wee tree I found for three bucks at a yard sale, snowman birdhouse and pail with branches and pine cones. Simple but that's o.k. with me....... Warm Blessings Francine.

WELCOME DECEMBER

Morning Prim Folk, well, here we are in this Merry Month of December.     Cannot believe how fast this year flew by, felt like I was flipping that calender page a little to often and fast. .....                                               I do love this month and everything about Christmas. I'm like a kid, so excited about the magic of the Season but to me the best present I can get is to be surrounded by  my family through the Holidays, that's all I need and ask for...... Morning Prim Folk,  well, the day has come, it's snowing!!!!!! Beginning to look a lot like Christmas now, cannot believe only a month away. We are lucky that we are getting some snow now, by this time we usually have lots on the ground  so we have been blessed. Happy I did some outside decorating while the weather was still nice,  to cold on the fingers to start puttering around decorating for the Holidays when the cold hits.....    Wishing you a cozy day, Warm Blessings Francine.

NICE WEATHER

Morning Prim Folk,  hope you are doing well this fine November day.         Here in The Peg the temps have been unusually warm for this time of year. Many times there is snow on the ground in November but this Fall we sure have been enjoying the beautiful mild weather. It's has been so nice to still be able to sit outside in the warm sunshine, do a little cleaning up in the gardens, washing windows, whatever can be done.  I still have some flowers blooming, Black eyed Susan's and Calendula are still hanging in, look so pretty in the garden.  I know the end of the warm weather will vanish and Old Man Winter will come a knocking but for now I'll  take these warm wonderful Fall days.           Blessings Francine.

She turns 91 years young, we are blessed to still enjoy this wonderful  funny caring lady I am proud to call my Mama. HELLO NOVEMBER

Morning Prim Folk, Happy November  to you...... Can't  really believe we are  in the 11 month, where did the year go?  With Halloween over I guess the Christmas season will be booming, I already see Christmas movies being played on the T.V.  Speaking of Christmas popping up, my beautiful Christmas cactus is in full bloom, so many too, I love this pretty plant so. I thought a little early but the people I've talked to say no, it's that time of year so I will enjoy the wonderful flowers now....... Warm Blessings Francine.

MONK'S HOOD

Morning Prim Folk, it's a cool, windy and cloudy day here. Kinda day to curl up with a hot cup of coffee, good book and stay in where it's warm and cozy.       I did run out of the house to quickly pick a bouquet of the remaining Monk's Hood to enjoy inside, always nice to have fresh flowers to look at.  I truly love these late Fall bloomer's, the blue is so pretty, I find it difficult to find a true blue flower but these fit the bill nicely. So I will enjoy my enamel pitcher  of Monk's Hood, the last remaining flowers of the garden this year.......Wishing you a wonderful weekend, Autumn Blessings Francine.

SWAP GOODIES

Morning Prim Folk, Happy Thursday to you!!!!                                                Once again I joined in on a fun swap, this one was a Fall themed swap. I received my package yesterday from one of the sweetest blog gals, Donna over at Dirty Martini Queen. Donna is very giving, I was unwrapping such pretty papered goodies like a kid on Christmas morning, what fun!!!! Inside were wonderful gifts, the cutest wee stuffed dog with witches hat, wee pumpkin, prim dolly and stitchery, I think she stitched herself, talented gal, neat cast iron bird spool holder, t-towels with witches hat, pumpkin spice pancake mix which we tried this morning, yummy. Like I said, she is very generous in gift giving, I know this for I've swapped with her a few times before. Thank you Donna for everything, love it all!!!!!! BITTERSWEET

Morning Prim Folk, Happy Tuesday to you!!!!!                                               The weather here has been so beautiful lately, in the 20's, sunny and warm. So very nice for October, but I know it's not going to last. We were at the lake last week enjoying the nice temps before I went back to work. Did a little fishing on the lake and found some beautiful Bittersweet growing along the banks. Brought the branches home and placed in my yellow ware jug in the blue cupboard, love the berries so. Will be closing up the trailer soon for the season, that is very bittersweet too,sigh  ..................Wishing you a wonderful day, Bittersweet  Blessings Francine

AUTUMN DECORATING

Morning Prim Folk,  already the last week of September, wow!!! where did it go??? I did have a wonderful month off from work though but flew by that's for sure. Was a rainy day Sunday so decided to do a little Fall decorating in the house. Love my new treasures I bought at the Homestead show but always enjoy putting out the older goodies too. So with a yummy scented candle burning, away I decorated. I will admit I do leave some things out all year long, just can't put them away for another  season, love them so... ......Warm Blessings Francine.

WELCOME AUTUMN

Good Morning Prim Folk, Wishing  you a Happy First Day Of Fall!!!!              My favorite time of the year and season. Love everything about Autumn, pumpkins, warm sunny days, cool crisp evenings, the crunch of leaves under foot, wood smoke in the air, the pretty yellow and red leaves, caramel colored sunsets.  It's also a time to get warm and cozy inside the home, feather the nest.  And did I mention  I love Pumpkin's, I do have a love affair with them, something about those wonderful  round orange globes. Just decorating inside and out with them makes me happy!!!!  We are off to the lake today to celebrate Autumn with a toasty crackling fire and to be outdoors with Mother Nature. IN THE GARDEN

Morning Prim Folk, Happy Tuesday to you!!!!                                                Nothing really exciting in the garden but the Lime Peewee Hydrangea   is turning into the most pretty Bronze or rusty color now, I love it so. It is the prettiest plant in the garden, a few Black Eyed Suzies in bloom but that's about it. I bought the rusty crow from the Homestead show from Earlene's booth, her hubby made it and I had to have one for the garden, love it so!! The little old green wicker plant stand I scored at a yard sale for $3.00, I have always wanted one, not crazy on the color but will do.
