CHRISTMAS PIC'S

Morning Prim Folk,  cannot believe Christmas has come and gone, Wow!!!! Now  we will be bringing in a New Year, 2015.  Had a wonderful Christmas with loved ones, family, food and fun. Christmas Eve at my Brother's house was so  much fun with the arrival  of Santa himself. The little ones were so excited, fun to watch them with the jolly old elf. Sis-in-law feed us well as usual, plus I got to hold the sweet little baby Landon, what a doll. . Christmas morning was great with my Mom and Sis spending the night, and her boyfriend surprised her by staying in the city instead of  going to his daughter's, Sis was very happy to have him here.  Then we headed to my other Sister's for Christmas dinner. Was another great meal,  turkey and all the trimmings, what a feast.  So another wonderful Christmas filled with warm memories.  Now Cam and I will be ringing in the New Year  sick, yuk!!! caught some ugly flu bug, Happy New Year Not!!!!

Also is so much fun sharing Christmas morning with my family near.   This evening we are off to my dear Brother's and sweet Sis-In -Laws for a yummy supper, she is a wonderful cook and baker, cannot wait to fill my plate with goodness. Then Santa makes an appearance  with a sack full of presents for everyone. What  fun it is watching the little ones eyes light up, I look forward to this evening so much, plus I get to meet the wee baby Landon for the first time, yes I am a proud Great Auntie.    May you all enjoy the magic of the season, Warm Blessings Francine.

CANDLE GLOW

Good Morning Prim Folk, dawn is breaking, love this time of the morning. So peaceful, quiet and comforting to me. I light the candles, I always have at least one burning all day into the evening, love the soft flicker of  candle glow. I do have the fake flicker candles but they just don't have the same effect as a candle, safer but not as cozy looking. I am a candle nut, buying candles in jars, tins, in any shape or form, as long as the scent is  on the spicy side. I  love the warm cinnamon, clove scents that  fill the house with a warm wonderful scent while burning.........  May you enjoy a cozy day, Warm Blessings Francine.

OH CHRISTMAS TREE

Good Morning Prim Folk, Happy Friday to you all!!!!!! Mild cloudy day here and once again the wind she is a blowing. With the mild temperatures came a strong south wind and messy slushy roads.......... I put up the Christmas tree the other day, the house smelled like a Christmas tree lot, love the smell of pine.  Had a little trouble with the lights, not unusual. Plugged them in before I placed around the tree, working, great!! Placed them on the tree, plug them in, turn on, below half string not working. Grrrrr!!! Decided to take a  much needed coffee  break then back at it.

Twisted a few lights around Ta Da!!!!   they came on, so happy I did not have to go buy new lights.  Not the best of trees but I really like to get a Charlie Brown type tree, little sparse here and there with the branches. I also like to decorate the tree with old Shiny Brite  colored balls, hamdmades  and keepsakes that were gifted to me, reminds me of the trees we had growing up. I still have some ornaments from my Childhood that I hang with wonderful memories every year........Wishing you a warm and cozy weekend, Blessings Francine.

MERRY OUTSIDE

Greetings Prim Folk,  the sun is trying to peek out from the clouds this morning, not to sure who will win.......I decided to decorate the outside the other day, make it Merry and welcoming for Christmas.  I strung lighted garland around the front window and door way, I like that look. Hung a wooden Merry Christmas sign with a wreath in the middle of the window, I wanted a bigger wreath but settled for the one I had.  In the wood trencher on the table  I placed a winter house that I put a small string of lights inside, looks great lite up at night. Also placed in some Pine branches and pine cones, rustic charm. Beside the table on the  red chair I  put a sweet snowman birdhouse I had, adore the snow folk my Brother made and Sis-In-Law painted one year.  I did forget to put out my old  child's sled but still have time..............Went out with my Sister yesterday afternoon, love my Sister time. Went shopping at Homesence,  found some Christmas  presents for loved ones, a few for ourselves, oops and many laughs, we have the best time together.  Then we went and enjoyed a hot chocolate and each other's company, was a wonderful afternoon. Cam asked her to stay for supper when she dropped me off, she said sure. Enjoyed her company a little more before she headed for home.....
Wishing you a cozy day, Warm Blessings Francine

A LITTLE MORE MERRY

Morning Prim Folk,  it is a  cool cloudy Saturday here, looks like snow will be falling some time today.  Cannot believe Christmas is  less then three weeks away, still have not started my shopping or cards to send yet.  I have been doing a little more decorating around the house, but say to myself, keep it simple, but do I, does not seem to be the case.  Angel watches me from her favorite spot trying to understand what is she doing look on that little face of her's. She went to get groomed and  bathed for the Holidays, with red bows in her ears and all, she is ready for Christmas now......... Thanks for stopping in, wishing you a cozy day, Blessings Francine.

SKINNY TREE

Good Morning Prim Folk,  Happy Wednesday to you all!!!!!  Nothing but cold and snow here, good day to be indoors. I am going to my dear Mother's this afternoon to visit but  also put up her wee Christmas tree and do a little holiday decorating for her. Make her place sparkle a little with Christmas cheer..........I also put up my skinny wee tree in the living room window the other day. I wait to get a real tree closer to Christmas so this little fake one does till then. I love this tree, makes me happy all aglow with lights shining even though it is a little on the skinny side. This year I hung dried orange and apple slices with a garland of tiny red jingle bells around  it.  I like to change what I hang on the tree  every year,  keeps it fresh.  At night is looks magical shining in the window, It's the most wonderful time of the year!!! Warm Blessings Francine.

HAPPY DECEMBER

Morning Prim Folk,  here we are in the merry month of December, I really cannot believe it, where did the year go?   I  am joyful though, love the magic of Christmas, always have, always will. The kid comes out in me every time, singing or humming carols, decorating the house inside and out with holiday cheer. Love to sit in the darkness of night with just the tree lights on and candles aglow, watching a Christmas classic movie with popcorn and sipping a big mug of hot cocoa, magical. May we remember the reason for the season also, The magic of Christmas is not in the presents but in His presence.......... Also want to thank you gals on helping me decide on putting the little skaters lantern, you gals are the best!!!!!!  I did leave it on the cupboard but after Christmas  I decided to hang it on the peg rack  to enjoy all year long.......Wishing you all a cozy day, Warm Blessings Francine.

WHERE OH WHERE

Good Morning Prim Folk,  snow is gently falling outside my window as I post this, looks like a winter fairyland.  I do  love a snowfall, to me is so calming and beautiful.       So I found myself wanting to do some more Christmas decorating today with the blanket of fresh fallen snow..... I had ordered this  little antique skaters lantern,  they are the sweetest, I can imagine of days long ago children skating on a pond at night all aglow with these adorable small lanterns lite for them to see where they are skating.   When  one came up for sale on FB, was a little pricey,  but I thought about it all night long. Morning came, I emailed the gal asking her if she still had the lantern. Oh happy day, she did, so I have the sweet little lantern now.   I do have another one but not the same style, love them so. Now where to display the lantern. Do I hang it on the peg rack with the other one? with the old child's skates or leave it in the cupboard where I placed it when I received it?

Kinda like both, so gals, where oh where do I put the sweet little lantern?   Would appreciate your feedback to help me make up my scattered mind.........Wishing you a cozy day, Blessings Francine.

CELEBRATING

Good Morning Prim Folk,  I must say it is a frosty cold one here on this Wednesday......... Monday was my middle Sister's Birthday and also my older Sister's Wedding Anniversary, so we had to get together and celebrate with family.  We went over to my Sister's cozy apartment in the evening for fun, food and family, my favorite things.  Warms my heart always spending time with them, I really do not need an excuse to get together with my loving family. Her boyfriend's Birthday is coming up too, on the 28, so there was lots to celebrate together. Of coarse the fabulous Jennies cake was her cake of choice, Winnipeg's famous yummy cake, so so good.  Lots of laughs, many wonderful presents she received, all in all a great evening.  I adore my older Sister's, also a sweeter then honey Sis-In -Law, they are the best, caring, loving Sister's a little sis could ask for, I am blessed...........Thanks for popping in, wishing you a cozy day, Blessings Francine.

BLAST FROM THE PAST

Morning Prim Folk, hope your weekend is going great...... Mild day here today, but  it is grey and cloudy.  Our company left yesterday afternoon,  had a great visit with them, very nice house guests to have............ The other day my sweet Sis-In-Law was posting some oldie but goodie pictures of her family and ours, I love to look at the family pictures from long ago.  This one picture is of my Brother, two Sister's and me. It was taken at my Grandpa and Grandma's house in Dauphin, Manitoba.
That is me in the tiny tub all by my lonesome while the others are having fun together in the bigger pool.  Wonderful memories of staying at our Grandparents house warms the heart. Wishing you all a cozy day, Warm Blessings Francine.
