OLM WANTS TO KNOW

 Now onto why I am so looking forward to Fall, well, it is the nip in the air, the warm sunny days, cool nights,   road trips into the countryside leaf peeping,   fat round  pumpkins, that  big bright  Harvest moon in the black velvet sky,  picking Bittersweet, the  wood smoke smell in the air, cozy sweaters,  ahhh, I can go on and on........Fall  Blessings Francine :)

Morning Prim Folk,  hope you all enjoyed a wonderful weekend...............I sure did, was a beautiful weekend at the lake, the weather was so nice, warm days and cool nights, perfect for sitting by the fire,  but the temperature  did dip down into  the  single digits over night, we were snug as a bug in a rug in the trailer though, I do love this cooler weather, slept like a baby............I had the campfire burning most of the day, read my book, took Angel for a walk, so peaceful out there............I found this wild Turkey  feather out on one of our walks, looks very pretty so I brought it to the trailer, like decorating with bits of Mother Nature at the lake.............Once again the mist was rolling along the water when I woke up Saturday morning, was snapping some pictures,  the fish were jumping right in front of me, wow!!!! went and  told Cam as he was still in bed, you better get out on the lake the fish are jumping  all over and he did......caught some Perch but he released them........................Wishing you all a good day, thanks for popping in, Summer Blessings Francine.

Morning Prim Folk,  Happy Friday to you all, can't believe the last weekend of July, where oh where has the summer gone, but I really don't mind cause I love Fall, :).........The weather here in Winnipeg has been so great, highs in the low 70"s and nice cool nights, do you believe tonight it is going down in the single digits, brrr, but wonderful for sleeping, just need another quilt on the bed..................Yesterday I received my swap package from Cyn, oh boy, so many wonderful goodies she sent....the little candle in the enamel cup smells so great, can't wait to burn it.....the sweet little crow,  
pillow, vintage tablecloth, melon baller, love everything, thanks Cyn and a really big thank you to sweet Amy  over at Bubble Bee Lane, love that name, :)  for hosting these fun swaps, she really is a sweetheart......................After work we are on our way to the lake for the weekend, yippee!!!! can't wait, look forward to relaxing by the campfire..................Wishing you all a great weekend, get out and have some summer fun, Blessings Francine.

HAPPY WEDNESDAY

Good Morning Prim Folk,   I am enjoying a beautiful cool morning while  sipping my hot cup of coffee, life is good... the weather here has been perfect, warm days and cool nights....I will be out puttering in the garden soon, love to go out in the mornings with the  birds singing...................... A  while back at a thrift store I had bought this  rake top, yes, with no handle,  it was red and I thought I could do something neat with it,  boy,  Cam gave me heck for buying it for $3.00 but I wanted it.....so  this is what I ended up using it for ......hung it up in the kitchen and put my collection of enamel spoons on it,  
 
 I like it,  looks good under the red carrier I hung up on the wall too........is it a no or a go??......................Last night  I had a movie date with my sweet Sister, we went to go see The Heat, good movie,  was so funny, we both like Melissa Macarthy, she is so hilarious, always enjoy Sister time..................Wishing you all a great day,  Summer Blessings Francine.

Morning Prim Folk,  hope you all enjoyed a wonderful weekend,  here it is already  the end of July, can't believe how fast the summer is going.............The weather this weekend has been beautiful, just perfect, warm days, cool nights, love it, the week ahead the same, so nice after all the heat and humidity................Had a thunder storm  move in last evening though, rain came down in sheets and lots of lightning, so dark too, had to put the lights on early but that's ok,  we were safe, dry and cozy in the house.............So I thought it was a  good time to putter around the house redecorating, I do enjoy changing things around, so that how I spent my rainy evening, oh and stopping to cuddle Angle for she was very scared of all the thunder, poor little pooch................Wishing you a wonderful day, Summer Blessings Francine.

BLOOMING FLOWERS

Morning Prim Folk,  Happy Saturday!!!well, we are really enjoying much cooler weather this weekend, yay!!! love it,  last night the temp was going down in the low 50's, so so nice, all the windows were open all night long, woke up to a very cool house, had to put my warm cozy housecoat on and really enjoyed my hot cup of coffee.....................The flowers are doing well even in the heat and humidity,  the pretty Bee Balm is just starting to bloom, one of my favorite's, the Rudbeckia's  too, another flower I love, so many different colors of them and love the color of blue on  this flower, forgot the name of it, looks so pretty in the garden, hard to find a true blue flower for the garden............. GETTING CRAFTY

Good Morning Prim Folk,  hope all is well with you this Thursday..........We are still battling the humidity here but it is cloudy and raining today, but still hot and humid, no breeze either.................We were out at the lake again, went Tuesday to this morning, was relaxing............. I  had found these pieces of wood from the trees Cam chopped down, they looked like slices of watermelon to me so I had brought some paints and painted them up to look like slices of watermelon, have some at home in a wooden bowl so now have some at the lake on the table  on the porch.....................I also received another giveaway win in the mail, I am on a roll, from Kimberly at Brown Bag Studio, a sweet little apron I won this time, thanks Kimberly, love it....................... Morning Prim Folk,  hope you all enjoyed a good weekend, already the 15th of July, wow!!!!!.......   We had a great time at the lake this weekend, hot as heck on Saturday without a hint of a breeze, this week too is looking mighty hot and humid...........My girlfriend and her Grandson popped in Saturday  for a visit, Dean is a cutie, had me laughing all the time, at that age they copy everything, plus he is talking, funny how some of the words come out of their little mouths.............We went to the farmer's market in town Saturday morning, bought green beans, new little potato's, yum yum, corn -in-the cob and pea's, sure had a good feast that night, was so tasty............All and all was a really relaxing time,  Saturday woke to a foggy morning, was so pretty out on the lake, also took some pictures on the way to the lake, the fields of canola and corn are doing well,  we pass this beautiful old red barn on the way too, had to snap a picture..........Wishing you a beautiful summer day, Blessings Francine.

Morning Prim Folk,   Happy Friday to you all, hope you all  have a good weekend ahead.............Hot and humid here  for the weekend, can't seem to shake that high humidity, oh well, hurray for summer!!.................Yesterday I received a package from a giveaway I entered and won, yippee!!!!! from a wonderful lady Janet at Olde Crow Primitives, another fellow Canadian blogger too..........Inside the great smelling box, she had tucked  in a sachet that smells like cinnamon, mmmmm,  was the sweetest little quilt she had made,  beautiful work, love the colors too and two great smelling homemade Goats milk  bars of soap,   wow!!! I was thrilled, thanks Janet for picking my name, :).................Well, it is my weekend off so we are leaving for the lake once again this afternoon for the weekend, might as well sweat it out at the lake but I still will have a campfire burning, just a small one though.................Wishing you all a great weekend, Summer Blessings Francine.

good ole Country Living magazine

Good Morning Prim Folk,  hope all is well in your neck of the woods.........Yesterday enjoyed a cloudy cool day, was so nice after baking in the heat for days, didn`t have to water the flowers either for it rained as well, now today, back to the heat and humidity............I am going to go sit outside on the swing this morn while it is still cool out with a coffee and read,  I dug out some of my older issues of Country Living magazine,  used to really enjoy this magazine, when it first came out it  was such a great  Country magazine, not so much now,  so I  take out the old issues and enjoy looking through them once again....................This afternoon I am going to my Mom`s, she has a Doctor`s appointment, so my Sis is driving her and I will tag along  with them, always enjoy my family time..................Then there were these Turkey`s  wondering around this morning,  Cam ran and grabbed the camera but they wanted nothing to do with him, turned their back on him and kept going, GOBBLE, GOBBLE, in other words, get lost!!!............

Greetings Prim Folk,  I am enjoying the coolness of the morning, sipping a steaming cup of coffee, for later today the temperature will rise up once again, hot and humid all this week into the weekend......oh well, guess I better not complain about the heat to much,  before you know it the snow will fly and I will be complaining about the cold, :)................Last evening I spent my time puttering in the house tweaking with my wooden bowls, had fun changing things up a bit,  haven`t done decorating in the house for awhile,  always seem to spend my time outdoors lately in the gardens or just sitting on the swing reading, or  watching the Hummingbirds at the feeder, they amaze me those tiny little birds...............Wishing you all a great day, Summer Blessings Francine.

Morning Prim Folk,  hope this Sunday morning finds you all well.........Still been having hot, humid weather here in Winnipeg, sweating up a storm, speaking of storm, did have some thunder and lightning over night with little rain,  Angel was so scared, curled up right by my head all night, I did reassure her it was ok.......................My small Cactus has a pretty pink bloom, I have never seen one bloom before, so beautiful.......the neighbors niece gave me 5 smaller type of Cactus, she works at the local grocery store and they were selling them in the Spring,  guess no one was buying any so they were throwing the Cactus out and she said she would take the lot of them home....so 2 weeks ago she asked me if I would like a few Cactus, well I said sure, now I have these wonderful  different types of plants, and the one bloomed, just had to show it off.................My banana yellow Lily`s are in bloom too, so bright and the Arizona Sunset Blanket flower also, very pretty....................Wishing you all a wonderful day  and a big hello to the new followers, Summer Blessings Francine.

Morning Prim Folk,  hope you are all enjoying summer so far, staying cool where it`s hot....here, still very hot with high humidity, no end in site, all weekend long into next week too, lazy, hazy days of summer are here that`s for sure...............Had a wonderful time at the lake, felt cooler just being by the water, was very lazy................Not much happening this weekend, I work anyway......Having family over for cake this evening for Cam`s Birthday, it was the 3rd but we were at the lake so invited family over  tonight to celebrate......bought a carrot cake, yum yum, to hot to bake plus really not a great baker, :)................Flowers are doing well in the heat but having to water a lot,  many now blooming, so went out with the camera last evening battling the mosquitos for some pictures...........Wishing you all a great weekend, Summer Blessings Francine.

HOT,HOT,HOT!!!!!

Morning Prim Folk, whew!!! it is a cooker here in Winnipeg this week...... sultry summer days are here and so is July, wow!!!  where did June go, that old saying my parents said, the older you get the faster time goes is so true, just flipping those calendar pages so fast...................I didn`t change to Bloglovin` or anything else like a lot of you did as I am still receiving my favorite blog lists, really not to sure what to think about all this, I am not a techy so will leave things as is for now, might be screaming for help soon about it all though...................Well, in this hot, humid weather, the only remedy I can think of is going back to the lake, I am off Wednesday, Thursday so why not.......just looking out onto the lake is rather cooling, oh and jumping right on in too for a swim is wonderful, so after work today we are on our way to the trailer..............Want to wish my American  friends a Happy 4th of July, enjoy the Holiday, eat, drink and be merry with loved ones..............Till next time, Summer Blessings Francine.
