OH CHRISTMAS TREE

Good Morning Prim Folk, Happy Friday to you all!!!!!! Mild cloudy day here and once again the wind she is a blowing. With the mild temperatures came a strong south wind and messy slushy roads.......... I put up the Christmas tree the other day, the house smelled like a Christmas tree lot, love the smell of pine.  Had a little trouble with the lights, not unusual. Plugged them in before I placed around the tree, working, great!! Placed them on the tree, plug them in, turn on, below half string not working. Grrrrr!!! Decided to take a  much needed coffee  break then back at it.

Twisted a few lights around Ta Da!!!!   they came on, so happy I did not have to go buy new lights.  Not the best of trees but I really like to get a Charlie Brown type tree, little sparse here and there with the branches. I also like to decorate the tree with old Shiny Brite  colored balls, hamdmades  and keepsakes that were gifted to me, reminds me of the trees we had growing up. I still have some ornaments from my Childhood that I hang with wonderful memories every year........Wishing you a warm and cozy weekend, Blessings Francine.

  1. I love your tree, I think it's beautiful. The little angel you have from your childhood is lovely, I have a little plastic yellow bird from when I was a child, my mom probably bought it from the dime-store. It's ancient and has one broke leg, but every year, up it goes on the tree and it just makes me feel so happy when I look at it on my tree. Are those sliding doors separating the rooms? Love that! and the little basket quilt on the sofa, it's just too cute! Wishing you a Merry Christmas :-)

  3. Love, love, love your tree! Don't you just love the smell! I have a tree top in my son's room just to get some of that aroma, but it doesn't fit right in the stand. Thinking about throwing out and starting over. Your room is beautiful!

  10. That angel is wonderful and your tree/livingroom so lovely. We just recovered from a storm here on the coast so lots of wetness still around but finally the sun is peeking! Maggie

  14. You found a great tree! The best ones we've had were sparse trees we cut from our church's property.

  16. Francine...your tree is lovely! I had the same problem with the lights. Part of one strand just kept giving out and coming back on. Replacement bulbs did not work. My daughter and I ended up stringing 2 strands she had extra and covered up the space so we didn't have to take down that strand. Grrrr! The coffee break was something I should have done!!

    Warmer weather coming here!
