Morning Prim Folk,  hope you are all well this last day of  this very frigid month, not sorry to see it go, I will welcome February.  Watching the weather channel though  even the first two weeks of February are really cold but still happy to turn the calender page.  Terrible weather all over, even Atlanta and Georgia are hit with this crappy cold  snowy weather, sure has been nasty  weather to the start of 2014.   I am going to welcome Spring whenever Mother Nature decides to bring it on,  but with all the snow here there will be flooding  here no doubt.       With this bone chilling weather  Angel got a new  warm toasty sweater to wear, she knows when I put the sweater on her she gets to go for a ride in the truck, she loves to come for rides with us.  Angel is very camera shy so  it's
hard to get her to look at me and get a good picture but this is what I took of her in her new threads........................ Not to much happening this weekend,    tonight is a Walleye fish fry at the Eagles Club so we will gladly go out to eat, enjoy that tasty fish and no dishes tonight, yay!!!!!!  Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, stay warm, Blessings Francine.

Morning Prim Folk,  hope you all had a wonderful weekend, so glad it was the last one of January, will not be sad to see it gone.   I spent a very lazy quiet weekend in the house, to cold out there to go out.  But I did have to bundle up yesterday to shovel the front walk, another thing I will be happy to do, put the shovel away though that I am afraid will not be for awhile.    Spent my time cuddled up with Angel reading, she is a great lap blanket :)  Looked on Primitive boards on Pinterest,  that alone whiles away many hours, so many great boards.   That left me  feeling creative so I did stitch up a red and white quilted heart for my big wood bowl, then  I put in a little Be Mine Valentine pillow too for Love day that is approaching, Love in a bowl.....
.......... Thanks for your visit, enjoy the day, Warm Blessings Francine.

Good Morning Prim Folk,  hope everyone is fine this Saturday morn. Still cold in my neck of the woods, -25 and only getting colder with a windchill this afternoon. I will be so happy to see the end of  this oh so cold January and flip the calender to hopefully a warmer February.   My middle Sis has the right idea, she and her boyfriend on taking a cruise to the Bahamas tomorrow, I am so excited for her and  don't tell her but I think I will try and hide in her suitcase, shhhhh........................

I love to collect old postcards as I am sure I mentioned before, the pictures are so sweet, love all the holiday postcards. I enjoy reading the stories also  on the backs of them, some dating back to the early  1900's, find it so interesting. So I thought I would share some of the sweet Valentine postcards with you........................On a sad note, it has been a year today my girlfriend lost her husband in that terrible car accident, my thoughts are with her and her boys..................Warm Blessings Francine.

Morning Prim Folk,   Hi, my name is Francine and I am a coffeeholic, oh ya, loves me a hot cup of coffee morning, noon and night.    Always have, just my choice for something to drink, even in the sweltering heat of summer, you will find me enjoying a cup of yummy coffee.  My Father loved his coffee to, you would  see him with a cup in his hand all the time, my Mother  enjoys her coffee to but she also drinks tea, me not so much.    Like to drink my  coffee in  a mug, no little cup for me, nice big mug of goodness.  I  use a older plug in percolator   from the fifty's, find it makes the best coffee, just me.    I think that's why I am a morning person to, wake up  early for  that cup of coffee that's calling me, makes me  happy.    I  like  to collect the  old enamel coffee pots, love the looks of them anyway.  I keep my fine grind in a old Nabob jar that a friend gave to me when his Mother was cleaning out her Grandmother's house, he said I think I would like it for I like old junk, oh ya, you bet I do, thank you very much.  Speaking of coffee, gotta go get me another cup, thanks for popping in,  always a pleasure,   Warm Blessings Francine.

Morning Prim Folk,   these past two days the weather has been crazy. So windy, I mean really windy, blowing snow, knocking my feeders down,  now the wind died down but  so cold once again.    I  think I am ready for Spring, need to look at some seed catalogs now!!!!     The full moon was so beautiful last night shining in the upstairs bedroom window.   I only has a valance along the windows for I like to look at the stars and moon laying in bed and   on nights when the moon is full, something about that big ole glowing moon.......................Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, Moon Blessings Francine.

Greetings Prim Folk, hope this Saturday finds you all well........Here this weekend we are having such nice mild temperatures for a change, wow!!!!! near zero, a heat wave compared to the frigid cold weather of late. After lunch I will go out and take down the Christmas garland around the front door and window, it is about time plus I will not freeze doing it..................Went yesterday for a ride out of town to a great little shop named  The General Store, my first time visiting.  Last year after the Holidays we went to find the shop but never did, this time we found  it.  Wonderful little place, full of antiques, candles, my kind of place.  Had held  many goodies  in my hot little hands but then I zeroed in on a blue and white quilt and it was all over, the quilt had to come home with me. But I definitely will go back and shop, not bad prices also is  a very enjoyable drive, twisting, turning following the Red River................Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, Winter Blessings Francine.

Greetings Prim Folk,   hope you are all keeping warm and cozy in these freezing temperatures everywhere lately, wow!!! So many places are so cold, it is usually us here in Canada freezing, guess we can blame that Polar Vortex...................I am feeling much better, thank goodness was a 24 hour flu bug.  Still weak and tired but compared to Sunday, almost back to my ole self.  Want to send out a BIG THANKS to all of you who commented on my post with well wishes for a speedy recovery, warms my heart so many of you did.  I cannot believe I have meet such caring gals and made so many wonderful friendships, I feel very blessed.............Wishing you all a good day, Big Hugs Francine.

Morning Prim Folk,  yup,  cold, cold and more cold,  no end in sight,  oh but wait, yes, towards the weekend is supposed to be milder, yay!!!  Nothing else new, only I did catch the flu bug, yuck!!!  Spent most of  Sunday  in the bathroom, not feeling all to great yesterday  either but not so much in the bathroom at least.   The only  thing good about Tuesday  was I did happen to catch the Hairy Woodpecker  feeding on the suet log,  so I grabbed the camera and finally got a shot,  not the best but it will have to do...............  Hope you are keeping warm and cozy those that are receiving  the terrible winter weather,  so many places hit with the bad storms.  Sunday night the power went off 4 times but came back on after a few minutes, thank goodness...............Till next time, take care, Blessings Francine.

Sunday, 5 January 2014

Morning Prim Folk,  Happy Sunday morning to you all....... No end to this frigid weather, windchill  is - 42 right now, and Friday night into Saturday morning we had more snow, a lot more snow, so I spent the afternoon outside bundled up  shoveling 3 different  times.  Lots of exercise and fresh air,  guess I should look at it that way,  maybe I will get out of wearing the stretchy pants yet if the snow keeps up :)..............Feeding the birds more seed in these cold days, also more suet for the Woodpeckers in the suet log, I enjoy watching The Downy and Hairy Woodpeckers but every time I go get the camera to catch a picture they fly away so no pictures yet, still trying. I did happen to catch this Bunny eating seed I put on the ground, cute and fluffy, I love to see the  little bunnies out and about........................Wishing you a warm Sunday, Blessings Francine.
